Dresden Files Las Vegas PBP
What is this?
This is a Dresden Files RPG campaign set in the city of Las Vegas after the Changes book of the Dresden Files series. I was inspired to do this after reading through the preview of the Paranet Papers which provided all of the details on Las Vegas.
Can I play?
Absolutely, in fact I’m hoping to get four players who can give. However I do have two requirements for anyone looking to play in the campaign. First, please have a copy of the Dresden Files RPG book Your Story which will include all of the rules you’ll need to know in order to play the game. Second, please download the preview chapter of the Paranet Papers which provides all of the information about Las Vegas.
Character Submission Guidelines
Anyone can express an interest in the game, but whatever you do don’t submit a character concept. I’ll choose players from those who are interested and we’ll work out the characters then. I will let you all know that this though, this will be a Chest Deep campaign so you’ll have plenty of options when it comes time to create your characters.
In an ideal world I'd like people to post once per day, but I realize that isn't always possible.
Three things you should know about Las Vegas.
1) The Unseelie Accords are not binding there. Yeah.
2) The White Council rarely sets foot there because of the inherent senses of wrongness about the place.
3) There is a presence that dwells beneath Las Vegas channeling the power of the collective sins of the city into, this is the price it demands in order to maintain the seal on something far worse. The last time the seal failed the surrounding area was scorched into a desolate ruin. We call it Death Valley.
For the moment I've included some information about all of the major themes/threats, faces, and places. Notice there's still plenty of room for us to tweak Las Vegas to add our own creative touches, which is quite nice. I'll wait a week before choosing players just to give folks plenty of time to check their schedules.
Theme: City of Sin
Aspect: Nobody Escapes Temptation
The Idea: Regardless of its source, Sin City is fill of temptations tailored to your every desire- sex, money, fame, even doing good. You can't walk down the street without rolling the dice.
Theme: Big Risks, Big Rewards
Aspect: All In or Not At All
The Idea: The bets the city cares about are the last few bucks in your pocket that separate you from homelessness, or the raid on the vampire den that your entire cadre goes on, knowing it could be the trap that gets you all killed.
Threat: Chaos In the Dragon’s Wake
Aspect: Unavoidable Collateral Damage
The Idea: The Dragon used to keep things under a perverse kind of control. Accepting that a certain amount of in-fighting was necessary, he did a good job of providing an adequate supply of sin to the demon without letting the fight break out into the streets. Now that the head has been cut off the beast, there's no telling how ugly it's going to get; the worst par is that the victims of these fights are everyday people being swindled, sold, and sometimes slaughtered as part of the factions' disputes.

The Status Quo
What is the mundane status quo?
The dragon’s passing has gone unnoticed by most mortals living in Las Vegas, but that is slowly changing. As the delicate balance the dragon had maintained begins teetering towards chaos all the strip shows and free buffets in the world won’t be able to distract them from the war going on all around them.
What is the supernatural status quo?
With a major power vacuum opening up in the city virtually every faction is moving to fill the void left by the Red Court.
