Quick mention to you forums folks - the Panel will feature some gifts for attendees, not everyone will get pins, but still, you might get lucky!
We're hard at work to make something entertaining for everyone, and while I haven't stopped my gaze on any one in particular, is there someone who was volunteering to record the panel?
I am super excited - it's my what, 7th PAX? I'm as nervous and giddy as with my first time. PAX does that to me, yes.

The panel was great! It was especially fun to put faces to forum names. Also, to learn some actual first names. My wife even got a pin for asking a question. Thanks for putting this together guys.
My wife and I really wanted to go to the gamer parents panel (which was quite good, at least for married folk like us ) so we missed the pin panel. What all went down -- free DLC for each attendee ?
So the gang talked about what most of us pin folks already know. Where to go for information, good resources, some of the better and safer ways to get into trading, general tidbits of wisdom, some very good 101 stuff that thanks to having an established community we can help new people to see. Most of the economics was pretty common sense, but still good points. A quick sixty second advertisement for the Pin Trader, some Q&A, some pin giveaways to new people and some more established traders. All in all, good stuff imo. If something similar happens from the community at East or Prime this year (or Aus if I make it), I'd like to help out if I could.
I have the entire panel recorded (except a few minutes in the middle when I found the video limit for my camera was 30 minutes) that I can potentially upload when I get home Tuesday. Sony cybershot, no tripod, so don't expect anything amazing.

Uploading raw audio now thru Business Center PC here in San Antonio.
Just listened to it this morning, Awesome and thanks for setting this up for those who couldn't make it.
On the panel itself, the speakers seemed to work well together and gave some great tips and advice. It's hard to try and summarise the community spirit involved within Pinny collecting and trading, But I think the guys nailed it as best they could.
Would have liked more of a discussion/focus on the Pinny Pals trading group and the Staff trading events held during PAX. Even more stories about some classic trades or events that have happened in the early morning lines just to spark new punters interests in the community and what to expect.
I think there could be less about Ebay and sites to go buy pins off, that seemed to drag on a little much for me.
Yep, just heard it too. Great work, and a great first time panel. Geared slightly more towards newcomers to the hobby but thats fine, enjoyed it nonetheless. Hope to see/hear more pinny panels in the future.

Please do. At the very least I can splice the other audio with it so we have a full recording of it.
I'm so glad that so many of you enjoyed it! And thanks for the feedback, @SkOoOTA. When a presentation gets on its legs for the first time in front of a crowd, the goal is to figure out what sections move along swiftly and which drag.

YAY ECONOMICS! worked really well at engaging the crowd.
Most likely pedro or someone on the panel will give me a full recording of it to add to the PAX South epidode. Please hold for technical happenings.
That raw audio is the best copy (only copy) since Nope got it right off the audio desk. BUT...
The very idea of taking the Desk Audio and using it to splice together with someone's shaky hand-cam footage is something I pitched to Khoo at Prime last year as a way to help get PAX content out. If all the panels had the audio recorded and uploaded then the PAX community could provide visuals. This could be the proof of concept if someone wants to try and put it all together.

Loved the panel! After getting my first few pins that morning it was nice to get an idea about what it was all about. Sadly missed discount code listed on the slides as after you guys announced it was on the slide, I didnt manage to type it fast enough on my phone. Perhaps give out small cards with the codes if you do it again at East. Just a random thought.
And as someone who almost majored in economics in college: Yay Econimics! Having experience in law school with the socratic method, engaging the audience with something as simple as that is a great idea and super effective! All in all great panel guys!

Anyone else who was there but didn't write it down?

OH! And congratulations to Amber from the panel's attendees for winning the 100.00$ gift code - we hope you enjoy your free Hanna Pin! We'll get it on its way to you as soon as this week.

Random note: And I as I know personally my short term memory is crap, there was a woman there at the panel who asked where I got my fox tote bag while I was in line to ask a question. In case she is reading this PM me and I can let you know where in Seattle I got it (can't seem to find the exact one online). There should be other places to find it though.

One at a time. East panel is next. If that goes well, Prime panel. And then an Aus panel after it.
Also, for those who didn't get any Moonrise Pins, Undead Labs donated a handful of Pins to the Podcast. They are going to be available as prizes in an upcoming episode. Keep listening for details.

I will be listening in for sure then. My buddy lost his bag on the last day (luckily his other pins were at the hotel) but he ended up losing his lanyard along with the moonrise pin he got late Sunday afternoon. He's come to terms with it but is still a sad panda for the loss of the Moonrise pin.

Well... 3.75GB of video files to upload to YouTube. Glad I took a sick day (I hate you, PAX plague).
Your sacrifice will not have been in vain, friend. You have given your body to PAX POX, so that your brothers and sisters can share in the knowledge you have accumulated at the panel.
You shall not be forgotten.
(But seriously, thank you for your efforts, much appreciated)

“I let out a battle cry. Sure, a lot of people might have mistaken it for a sudden yelp of unmanly fear, but trust me. It was a battle cry.”
Audio recording came out pretty clear but is missing the first 4 minutes of the whole hour, sorry about that.
Next year will do audio and video recording of panel if possible.
Panel was fun, lots of good info. Was nice to see some people from the forums too!
Update, just finished. Here's the shared link of the raw audio, it's close to 1gb, bare that in mind.

Yes, I saw Mike at the back of the room for a chunk of the panel.
All in all, I think it was a great experience, if/when we do this again we'll get better for sure and we can adapt the panel to which PAX we're at.
Thank you to all who came, it meant a lot to the 4 of us panelists to be able to share our love of pins with so many pin pals, new or veterans.
Listening to it now, thank you very much! Great job
"Damn fine pins!"
