I'm already imagining a world where we are perpetually embedded in the virtual, where the real and the virtual are inseparable even more explicitly than they already are, where you interact as much with phantoms as with matter
I really don't think headsets like this or Google glass are going to take off until we can get them embedded into contacts or surgically implanted into our corneas. (Like in Peter Hamilton's Great North Road).

Since we're talking about AR, has anyone in F1 tried to do a helmet HUD? I don't recall hearing of one but it maybe I just didn't hear about it. It seems like F1 would have the use case for it.
Yeah I don't know Tumblr doesn't seem super suited to what I'm trying to do. Oh well, I'll probably keep crossposting these little pieces there for my 12 whole followers and just migrate to Wordpress for the most part because Wordpress actually does things that you ask it to do sometimes.
Also, you can get a tattoo of your own face over your face.

I feel like sometimes kickstarter rewards lack value. Like of course the item your kickstarting, great, an extra 50 for collectors edition and art. I'm with you, maybe a hundo total for a special figuring, and 500 for some other stuff and 2 games, and maybe a plushie or something. After that I am always sketchy, like 1000 bucks and you get the 500 reward and lunch with the game designer...I feel like someone in the area could make that happen by buying them chipotle or something, and after that it just feels like even more ridiculous amounts of money for less rewarding activities, and they almost never sell.
I'm not against higher priced rewards. I just think that the value of what you are receiving needs to be comparable.
