I've had to suffer through a number of them. Arc Rise Fantasia, Lux-Pain, the Wii version of Muramasa....Deadly Premonition was only sparred because it was already dubbed, but they still managed to mess up some of the subtitles.
Fortunately, Ignition is most likely dead (shut down most studios, hasn't been heard from in years). Turns out that outbidding better localization studios, then doing such a dirt-cheap crap-ass job on the game that people actively avoid buying it is not a solid business plan. Especially since the JRPG fan community is small enough that word gets around.
Want to find me on a gaming service? I'm SwashbucklerXX everywhere.
So I just got one of those Playstation TVs and I want to ask for some recommendations.
I've never played any Vita or PSP games and I'm on the prowl for those.
I'm mostly a fan of RPGs, Action and Strategy games.
Front Mission 3 (Classic Square Enix RPG that replaces sword & sorcery with walking tanks and repair units)
SNK Arcade Classics (Metal Slug, King of the Monsters, and some others)
Earth Defense Force 2017 (Steep price, but I've had a lot of fun with it, so justified IMO)
The potential of this system is not fully realized without a PS3 and Vita, as many great PSP games aren't considered 100% compatible and getting them to the PSTV (legit, no tomfoolery here) may involve all three devices. And watch out because some, like Midway Arcade Treasures, are still for sale on PSN but will only transfer to an old-school, one-stick-wonder PSP.

I find it's not the games that kill me, it's the goddamn DLC, especially on the Vita. I grabbed Ragnarok Odyssey Ace and it was just going right to black screen, so I had to delete it, re-download it. Then all the DLC which was free. That's a whole lotta clicking. Admittedly, a small problem in the grand scheme, but I would love to see previous downloads in checklist with tick boxes for me to check for re-download.

Late, but yeah, Ignition's gone. Ever since Disney bought their parent UTV Ignition hasn't released a thing. And the makers of El Shaddai, the last thing Ignition released, bought the rights to the IP in 2013. Though oddly enough El Shaddai is decently translated, cruddy lip syncing aside.
Since there's nowhere else to write about this, I'm actually just now playing El Shaddai and holy crap, it's an experience. Crazy visuals the likes of which I've never seen before. Just wish the platforming was less crap and the story was a little less abstract.
Replace PS4 hardrive check.
Need 2.04 Full Update on a USB drive.
...Sony's website only has 2.03
WTF?
2.04 was broken, so I imagine they pulled it. If it downloaded automatically, I think you basically just need to not agree to install it and wait for the fixed version.
Hand of Fate is pretty freaking cool. It's for PS4 only (been out on PC for some months), but a Vita version is supposedly in the works.
It's a really cool take on a deck building game mixed with RPG elements, uncomplicated action-y brawler combat (Batman: Arkham-style), and a very well-voiced dungeon master controlling all the randomness.
My only complaint after an hour or so is that the performance, especially loading, can be a little unpolished. But that's it really.
Well, I just unlocked Thanatophobia in Rogue Legacy (beat the game dying less than 15 times, no using the architect to lock down the castle), which is wayyyyyy harder than it sounds. Anyway, game is finally platinumed.

-(PS4) Paparazzi ($4.99)
-(PS4) Pillar ($7.99) (Demo Available)
-(PS4) The Order: 1886 ($59.99, Available Friday, 2/20)

So, a few things that weren't in the Drop, or I kinda overlooked them, I dunno. Dead or Alive 5: Last Round comes out in free and paid flavors, but if the idea was to launch the fighters not in the core edition as piecemeal DLC, they didn't do that yet. Hand of Fate, Paparazzi and Q*Bert Rebooted launch as well for the PS4 (PS3 and Vita as well on the last bit there), where The Order: 1886 is still scheduled for this Friday.
I don't know what to tell you on that Telltale Games Collection. I intentionally didn't list what it comes with next to it because I'm gonna post what's in the Web Store entry for it.
This bundle includes five critically acclaimed series by Telltale Games:
- The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season
- The Walking Dead: Season Two
- The Wolf Among Us
- Tales from the Borderlands (Episode 1 available now, Episodes 2-5 to be released periodically)
- Game of Thrones – A Telltale Games Series (Episode 1 available now, Episodes 2-6 to be released periodically)
Season Pass required for Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones.
Now, do I think Telltale would release a bundle of their games, two of which are in progress and only offer the episodes that are out? No. Am I used to companies doing similarly stupid things? Yes. The wording is vague enough that I'd look around for what people have to say you get when you buy it, especially since there's a damn good sale on the bundle. In my opinion, the store wording should suggest that you will be able to download the further episodes as soon as they're released, not say they'll be "released periodically" and then say that a Season Pass is required....when you don't make mention of a Season Pass.
Aside from that, there are some damn great sales this week, as mentioned, so you might wanna give those a look.
Never until this moment, browsing on mobile, did I realize that maybe it would be convenient if those store update posts were hidden behind a spoiler tag.

I just bought it after watching a video on youtube. Sounded like an interesting mix of styles/genres. Glad to hear it's pretty good.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
Ok, yeah. Hand of Fate is an awesome and unique game!
I could see myself trying to get all the cards in the game. I haven't played anything quite like this, though you can see bits and pieces of other games, video- and tabletop, in it.
And it seems to have some elements of a story, too. Hmm.
Did anyone play Of Orcs and Men? It looks like the price is finally right for that game.
I bought it a while ago. It's a fun game... I think. I don't remember much of it outside of it being more fun to play as the big guy. Just get Hand of Fate instead (or as well!)

It sounds like the whole story mode is building up to have you fight the DM guy? Not 100% sure what's going on, but I like it! Can't wait to get more cards and try out endless mode.

Thanks, @Skull2185. Deck-building games aren't really my thing, while Warhammer-related stuff definitely is.
It's not really deck-building in the traditional sense. Like Magic and whatnot. Mainly just cards that determine your supplies, special events and gear for your dungeon crawl/combat encounters.
I'm just in a gushy mood about Hand of Fate. I knew nothing about it until last night. It's a bunch of ideas from other games mashed together with some original ideas to make a pretty awesome unique experience. Wish I could remember more about Of Orcs and Men. I never finished it, but I didn't hate my time with it. It's definitely worth the $5. I know that much at least... :P

The only game I'd be double-buying would be TWD Season 1, which puts the 4 games I don't own at $11 each. I really like the GoT TV series, and that one seems like it has some good reviews so far. I liked TWD S1, but I heard that S2 isn't as good (and it'll annoy me that I won't be able to transfer my choices from my PS3 S1 gamesave to PS4). I played and didn't really care for Borderlands, but I'm hearing that liking the original games isn't a prerequisite for liking Tales. Wolf Among Us is quality, right?
Goddamnit. Goddamnit. Is Xenoverse actually kind of good? It almost seems that way. It has stuff. It has gameplay. It has stats and builds. It has a whopping two buttons for melee-combos. Punch and kick. The custom-characters don't even seem to copy-paste the regular cast that much. They have a little of their own stuff going on.

One of the voices you can choose for male characters is the guy who does Nappa in Dragonball Z abridged.
Oh, alternate history in DBZ-games has always been a goldmine of hype, dumb things. I'm more surprised by the gameplay seeming more interesting than a sheet of cardboard.

The Order is the obvious big one this week, I'm interested to find out what that thing actually is.
But maybe not interested enough to play it.
Apart from that it's another version of DOA5, Q*Bert and a few things I know nothing about.
There's also a sale.
There's a lot of stuff in there, such as Destiny, Tomb Raider, Legos, Rayman, Okami and MGS4.
It's kinda amazing.
That game just looks like utter excellence for DBZ fans.
Edit: Oh my God it's true (at 18:00):

Ghost Nappa is a custom voice and he just purposely flubs all the attack names.
