I don't feel this adequately highlights the importance of eurocentrism. It's not eurocentrismcentric enough.

protectionism in the continental frame doesn't generally mean the same thing, conceptually, so it may be interesting to tease out what, exactly, is being said

from an aesthetic standpoint not a big fan of the big rubber toe bit, nor the way that big sole might look interacting with the trademark way that sambas muffintop out over the sole (classic sambas make this look good because of thin, even soles)

I'd have to see it worn on some feet first

Well he specified tariffs to allow companies to compete with China.

the present EU position is that China imposes unfair trade subsidies on its own native companies involving certain raw materials, which justifies like-for-like anti-dumping protections

I doubt your professor has that in mind precisely, though

the framing of protectionsim good/bad is a bit misleading, esp in an era where the basic principle of free-trade-as-default with marginal subsidies/tariffs on certain controlled items is taken as given

anyway it isn't completely unknown to encounter communists who are pretty blase about the impact of tariffs because all social democracy is just faffing about making life at least tolerable before the collapse of capitalism anyway

Another tribal raid - thirty primitives threw themselves at our defenses, expecting easy prey. But Chattertown has adapted - we raised a wall to block anyone from coming through the wider valley, instead forcing all to move through a narrow corner where they have neither cover nor range to avoid being shot at by our sentry guns. Combined with newly improved sandbag fortifications to allow our riflemen a solid defensive position, the thirty tribals were thrown back by Kana, Shivahn, Jacobkosh, simonwolf, and Gim, leaving behind their wounded.

In other, completely unrelated news, our spare organ supply has seen a 300% increase.

    This is very cool.

An agent that works out how a game works solely from analysing what's being displayed on the monitor, and then gets better at it.

No surprise it struggles at PacMan, but does well at Pong, but even so, pretty impressive.

...and of course, as always, Kill Hitler.

It was probably a mistake to specify part of the stadium I wanted tickets for.

Gonna try again for more general tickets. Probably way too late but still.

I can't beat this asteroid mission in homeworld remastered, I've been at it for like an hour

I immediately lose all my strike craft because the game's AI is abysmal and no matter which formation you select they just run into the asteroids, and it's so hard to click on the asteroids because they die and the model of the asteroid remains so it obscures clicking

I want a pair of iron rangers but I have other expenses that take priority over that particular indulgence

so I'm looking at boots that cost half that, still not really intending on a purchase yet
