    I will never buy VR

No desire to strap a thing to my head and no desire to shut out the outside world

Yeah that's what kills it for me. It's already a big enough commitment these days for me to say, sit down and play videogames for a couple hours in a row, but at least I can still respond to texts, emails, etc, while I do that. With VR I basically have to be comfortable setting aside large chunks of time for games and also going into a zero communication bubble? It's a real deal breaker.

To me that's the biggest appeal

Just a solid chunk of time divorced from the noise around. Complete focus on one thing without endless distractions from all angles sounds like heaven.

I wouldn't want itnall the time, but as a getaway it sounds awesome.

I can see the appeal of that, even if it isn't for me. Different strokes for different folks and all that.

I am most comfortable when I am in a flexible, mobile position that can respond and go in any direction, so VR is lik an anathema for me.

Like already a month ago I was listening to some twit.tv podcast and Leo Laporte was talking about how he watched porn on occulous and it was amazing.

    So... that happened.

Pac Man's character is difficult to explain even to the Japanese -- he is an innocent character. He hasn't been educated to discern between good and evil. He acts more like a small child than a grown-up person. Think of him as a child learning in the course of his daily activities. If someone tells him guns are evil, he would be the type to rush out and eat guns. But he would most probably eat any gun, even the pistols of policemen who need them.

    And?

I'm kinda confused, are people saying they're against porn as a concept?

    Oh it's coming.

It is here and has been here for a while. There is a Fleshlight product which times the action in videos to your motion. There are wirelessly paired "his and hers" devices that translate one partner's motion to the other.

I feel like enough people wear glasses that worrying about these things not fitting well with glasses is totally crazy

Like, these huge companies aren't going to sink preposterous amounts of money into this product, ship it, and then go all "Oh fuck we forgot that literally like half of the entire population wears glasses."

    and yet

    3D

I've never had a problem with 3d glasses over my glasses

I don't wear glasses so I can't speak from experience but I've definitely heard people complain about them being uncomfortable and such over glasses

years ago I bought these 3D clip-on glasses, like clip-on sunglasses that fit onto any prescription glasses with no extra arms. They were AMAZING.

I kept them in my bag for seriously like 6 years before some asshole stole the bag out of my car.
