I really was trying to talk about my perspective on what criticism is or should be used for, and have tried to address each point you make as they're made. I apologize if I'm falling down in this respect, but I am trying.
So as I was watching the "Home is being attacked by fiends" FMV before getting off of the game last night, I thought to myself "Now would be a great time to release the summoners and whip ass"
Then it was revealed that they weren't being attacked by fiends, they were being attacked by Guado who are controlling the fiends
And that unleashing the summoners would actually be a bad thing because your best-case scenario is that you're caught between the fiends on one side and five screaming flaming incarnations of death on the other
The worst case scenario is that the summoners also instantly turn on you and your entire civilization basically evaporates as surely as if Sin took a dump on Main Street
"I sure don't get it, Wakka. Summoners might get hurt on their pilgrimage so you kidnap them? I mean, I get you want to protect hem, but if summoners don't do their jobs who'll beat Sin? And besides, protecting summoners is what the guardians are for. If a guardian does their job right, summoners will be safe!"
Hahaha I love Tidus suddenly turning into an action hero when he realizes Yuna might die later, even though the immediate danger to her life hasn't changed

Wakka somehow manages to win the asshole competition soon after
I think Wakka's special talent is finding the exact wrong thing to say in every conversation
Cid keeps getting worse the mroe he talks, both dismissing Yuna's agency and encouraging Tidus to do the same
Well now Yuna's apparently being dragged down the aisle while we fly to Bevelle, and I assume we're going to get an Aeon there while we're at it
Time for a break I figure
How far into the game am I, exactly? If Seymour's already back from the dead and I've kissed the damage limit a couple of times (granted only with summon limit breaks, but) and Lulu's about to get the -ga spells I must be getting pretty decently far in

How far into the game am I, exactly? If Seymour's already back from the dead and I've kissed the damage limit a couple of times (granted only with summon limit breaks, but) and Lulu's about to get the -ga spells I must be getting pretty decently far in
Something like two-thirds done, I think? Assuming you just go straight on to the end.
If you wanna get the three optional Aeons and/or some of the easier Ultimate Weapons, it'll take a bit longer.
Yeah, old-school goodness here. None of that fancy International nonsense for me
International version is pretty nice, but there's ONE change it makes that's really bullshit.
So, basically, there are a bunch of optional boss fights called Dark Aeons.
Some of these are fairly out of the way, and you need to seek them out.
But Dark Valefor actually prevents you from exploring Besaid Village. So if you didn't use a Destruction Sphere in the Besaid Temple or didn't get Valefor's second overdrive before you left?
