I think my favourite part about Rising Thunder is it takes like 30 goddamned seconds flat from double clicking the launcher to playing another human being on a good connection
lots of crows who know how to do crow mixups and nothing else
~*the dream*~
Oh, so you've basically played me :P
i'm salty asf because i have no idea how to stop it once it starts as vlad. the jump pressure seems really good, his reversal is a huge risk to stop it and the hitbox isn't very good, and then his aa normals don't feel suited for dealing with such close jumps. and he can do a decent job zoning with his fireball (the recovery seems really good - its probably riskier against run characters but worst case is vlad tags you with part of a C, his sweep or f+M)

Yeah I am honestly not sure how tight any of the pressure is. I've had people reversal and even back dash out of my vortex many times, but I don't know if that's just me messing it up or if they could always do that with the right timing etc. Need better training mode!
As for his reversal it seems to get stuffed every time someone spams standing jab during it, so that might be reliable?
i meant vlad's reversal. it goes straight up and seems to do a bad job stopping jump pressure (if you are hopping over for a crossup it seems to get stuffed relatively consistently)
idk its hard to tell with stuff b/c no record feature in training mode
Against Crow I've just been respecting his oki game and just try to block it all. Maybe the Crows I am fighting are just bad but his moves seem to push you out to a safe distance pretty quickly and then you can close back in on your own terms.

Rising Thunder is pretty fun. I ran straight to Chel, and there I will probably stay. I will introduce people to the real world all day, and smile doing it.
It's been curious playing a fighting game that basically nobody knows anything about. I'd really taken for granted how much information we have in this post-SF4 era. It's like the wild west out there. Only way to test shit is when you're under fire. That won't last, of course, but for now it's been entertaining in an "oh god, I'm having flashbacks to Buriki One" sort of way.
Importing Uniel was my reminder that this Era Of Information has limitations if your game isn't called street fighter
Dustloop is actually currently in the process of trying to actually provide a lot of relevant articles for their games, and Jebailey is doing a lot of diplomatic work within the anime community with CEOtaku. It's the best the scene has looked community wise in a long time.
Everyday we stray further from God's light Steam Switch FC: 2799-7909-4852
yeah, I like what I've seen from Uniel a whole lot. So much so that I bought it knowing full well I'd have no one to play it with
I bought it last summer on a japanese ps3 account thinking I could learn from just youtube tutorials
whoops
Yeah it you want to get the depth we are used to frommstreet fighter you gotta learn Japanese. It's a bummer. Trying to learn games that never made it out of arcades while I was living over there was the biggest pain.
Still say that Japanes devs leaving tons of money on the table by not making f2p pc releases of most of those games.
Sure, fail to connect in between games with perfect connection but save that feature for the Vlad with 500 ping. This slideshow is something to be savored.
