you use the camera's phone to 'scan' the picture on the screen, the app figures out the channel, and then pipes the audio through your phone (in case the volume sucks or the tv's muted)

I didn't grow up with locked school doors but given the current trend of school shootings, it seems like a reasonable idea.

I also think having a real police office in the building at all times wouldn't be a bad idea. I say real because my highschool had a police officer in it most of the time but he was the dare officer and drove a cement mixer instead of a real police car and I would have no faith in his ability to defuse a dangerous situation or do. . . anything, really, other than teach a shitty anti drug program very poorly.
