Got into queue like fifteen seconds after that tweet went up, and three day passes were sold out. Oofa doofa.

Got enough one day passes for the whole weekend, at least.

Damn, I really wanted to go this year but it's not worth it for me to go up to Boston for just one day.

I couldn't get a room at the usual place I stay at (hilton downtown) so ended up over at the hilton airport. plus side is it's cheaper than most of the other options and right next to the silver line to the convention. downside is there's nothing in the vicinity of the hotel and the restaurant there is expensive as f for breakfast but that can be solved by bringing your own stuff at least.

Saturday passes were sold out then not sold out, so I managed to get passes for the whole weekend.

Heads up, if you go to one peak to view your reservation, you can go straight to the hotels page without waiting in line once you've already reserved something.

I ended up having to grab a second room at the Hyatt right after I reserved the first one, and that was a lifesaver.

I got a Fri and Sat, could have done Sun too but I'm not spending $150 on tickets. Also, damn hotel prices are up a lot over the last few years. I'm not even 100% sure I'll keep the tickets. I might have to make South my main one and only now, even though I've never missed an East and it doesn't feel right not going.

Badge prices seem quite a bit more than previous years? Didn't it used to be $85 for the 3-days? Altho, I don't remember what the day badge prices used to be.

I guess that's not the worst increase then. I don't know, this would be all be a moot point if they would fix how they distribute/sell badges. Make people pick up their badges on site rather than mailing them in advance and you don't have to worry about tickets selling out in 9 minute because a bunch of people are buying multiples to sell on Ebay.

Not to hash semantics, but having to acknowledge that its a "bigger problem" recognizes that it is a problem as it currently exists, but just that they don't want to do anything about it. If they would have people pick up their badges instead of throwing them into the ether, this would all be moot. The 3 day badges sold out in 9 minutes and already there are almost 100 and climbing postings on Ebay with people selling multiple tickets at 2x or 3x pricing. They already kill a portion of the main exhibition floor just for a queue, why not put it to better use if people are going to be waiting in line every morning anyway? (And it's not like they're not used to standing in lines on the show floor anyway...)

Didn't Khoo give an interview about the pass problem before? Wish I could remember where it was so I could link it/read it again

Anyway I'm pretty sure the jist was that it's a problem and they know it's a problem but they've tried or explored basically every possible solution and none of them actually fix the problem in a satisfactory way
