I have to keep reminding myself that most players don't feverishly consume every press release and lore story about Magic. I imagine someone will get a pleasant surprise from the story the way it's intended.

Magic Story this week is about Ancestral Mask, of all things, and takes place in Mercadia. Pretty well written, and WotC is keeping up their representation push, the main character has lesbian parents.

i generally consider "male characters gets a buttload of female attention" to be a problem with both how the writers perceive the male characters AND the female characters

So, Anteri got an 18 month suspension, which when compared to Bertoncini and Boettecher (who each got 4 years) suggests that they considered his actions to be longstanding and intentional, but that they likely diminished the punishment in light of either his OCD or that he wasn't actually doing any sort of overtly deceptive deck manipulation.

Just had a sweet play in Sealed. in a tight race, but have a flipped Covicted Killer and a Silverfur Partisan out (and a Veteran Cathar that's just a 2/2). I'm losing the race handily though as he is smashing me with a Trespasser and has a Thing in the Ice and Silent Observer to block.
He Anguish Unmakings my Partisan. Wierd play, but alright. In response I cast Dual Shot (brought it in for Niblis And Rattlechains).... targeting my partisan and Killer.
I lose my partisan, but gain 3 wolves and my opponent loses 3. Win the game from there.
