I think mega evolution is how they've decided to evolve past gen pokemon from here on out
They probably don't want to add any more convoluted evolution methods and for some reason they're opposed to retconning in evolutions (except for a couple move based ones?)
Ugh my two favourite pokemon are Umbreon and Volcarona, which game am I supposed to pick. Torn loyalties, here.

Nah, I just mean that Umbreon is all about night and moonlight and nocturnal things and Volcarona is basically a solar goddess, so which game I pick basically chooses which Pokemon I'm modeling my team and/or aesthetic over. I'm naturally indecisive, right now I'm leaning 'Moon' but that will probably change in a few hours weeks.

It's not terrible and I even like some of the megas its just the concept I never super liked

I have really split feelings on which starter to pick. Until X and Y, I always chose fire starter and only didn't in that game because if offered my Charmander (I can't say no to my little buddy from all the way back to Red and Blue) and got Chespin instead. In Sun and Moon, I know my fiance is gonna flip when she sees Litten and we like to differentiate our teams, so I'm thinking probably Rowlett as it looks adorable.
This game is gonna be 3DS right? I won't have to go out and buy a New 3DS to play it?
