reading lots of old comics and man does any post-crisis DC character get shafted as much as lana lang?
Hawkman?
Hawkman had people try to make Fetch happen, at least. There were attempts, (sometimes somewhat successful ones, even) to go "I'm gonna write a fucking Hawkman story, and it's going to be rad!"
Lana... has not had that.
Really, the odds were against her from the start. Whereas Lois started out as "Let's have Torchy Blane as Superman's love interest! Tough as nails, smart as a whip, and all around fucking awesome, she can play up the contrast between Clark and Superman in a fun way while adding to the story on her own merits!", Lana was "Let's have a Lois for when Superman's a kid." It left her without a niche in Superman adventures except as Lois's rival. Bad hand to begin with.
Cut to post crisis, and Superboy's gone, so she's "Childhood love interest" at best, which isn't near as fun as Lois's spunk, and since Lane doesn't have her own title, someone who's primarily a Lois Lane supporting character in modern stories loses her one niche.
It's no wonder she was floundering until recently. She was too established a character to really revamp, but at the same time, her niche had been more or less destroyed.
So I'm finally reading Orlando's Midnighter and motherfucker how did I not know this book features Prometheus, B'Wana Beast and the best written Deadshot and Harley Quinn I've seen in ages
on top of just being super good
I will be really excited if Orlando's JLA is a blend of Justice Leaguers and Suicide Squaddies

You just sold me
They're only in the last few issues but the whole series is absolutely fantastic and has one of, if not the, best gay relationships in comics
Weird how that can happen when you let a talented gay writer write a book with a gay lead

Steve Orlando is bi, not gay.
Not being nitpicky, just giving correct representation (and I know you meant no harm)

The Arkham remasters were delayed to October, and it looks like the extra time was put into "making sure they actually look better than the original games"
The thumbnail makes it look like it's not the case, but in motion it sure is

Gotta say, that's almost a better Cyborg costume than the Justice League movie.

DC is launching a 4-issue miniseries in December, Supergirl: Being Super, by Eisner Award winner Mariko Tamaki and Joelle Jones. It is set outside of the DCU continuity and is meant as a modern update to her classic origin to introduce her to fans of the show and people who don't know much about her.

I think legally speaking it should be "The Big Game: Being Super" but I'm not a lawyer
I thought that happened when an experiment went wrong and caught fire and Superboy tried to help by blowing it out but accidentally blew all your feathers off in the process?

Well it's not like Kryptonians could use a regular toilet bowl.

My list consisting of Chuck Dixon's Robin and Nightwing runs, as well as No Man's Land. So it'll be a while.
Liking what I've read so far! I've heard a lot of praise for Dixon's work and I'm excited to dive into it.
That shit is hand made

I think Superman is my favorite if only for being the perfect reintroduction of classic Superman to the DCU and the addition of Jon.
I'm more excited about the Amalgam Comics mashup: Kilt-Man
