Having a meterless dp isn't at all what makes Ryu, Ken, Cammy, and Necalli so good - but that's my point. That they have such strong amazing tools at their disposal AND essentially get free meter versus everyone else in the cast due to their free reversal. Capcom didn't make them pay for that in terms of their toolset whatsoever, and at the end of the day it shows when you look at the tiers.
Yeah. Folks say it doesn't matter but the only characters folks generally agree on being top who don't have reversals are Mika and Nash.
I don't think anyone agrees on Mika being the "top" of anything other than, like, Most Likely to Pubstomp in the SFV Class of 2015 yearbook
Nash is a totally other can of corn, who has ceased to win majors and is only considered Top Tier because of his incredible movement options, ability to convert, slow-poke fireball, and mixup potential with V-Trigger
Though it's also true that the meterless invincible reversal is NOT the only unifying factor between the "A" or "Sub-Chun Li" tier of characters. They all also have incredible conversion opportunities, good counter-hit buttons, ease of movement, good anti airs, etc.
The problem with their meterless i-frame moves is that those moves are alsos, as in they have all of those abovementioned things and also can scoop your shit like Haagen-Dasz. Necalli without a D-Day H-Hour reversal is still an incredibly good SFV character, but with it, that's just one fewer gap in his defensive kit.
this new excellent adventures perfectly encapsulates my life in Ultra-Silver/Gold hell
NOBODY runs back if you beat them. If you try to be honorable and run back with people you lose to, the LP system punishes you...
i've decided i'm just going to scumbag my way out of this hell hole now so I can start playing better people. I officially feel like I have nothing left to learn from Super and Ultra silver
i really think they need to widen the zones you can get matches with

I usually get run backs from people, but maybe folks get salty cause gief should be easy and they want those easy points or something. That said, I'd love to see wider matchmaking, sometimes what you need to level up is to get bodied a few times by someone much better than you, rather than like, keep fighting people your own skill level forever.
Unrelated, but I just discovered that if you empty jump with Gief and Nash tries to anti air CA your landing, you you can just wiff an air throw to stay airborne and avoid it. I'm very pleased by this.

Would it be stupid to go just for the mystery game tournament?
mystery game tournament is the main draw of combo breaker
Can't check right now, is it at the same place, or did it move again?

I feel like he wouldn't sell well as a DLC character... unless he was good... or free.

If you plink fb into EX fb, your hurtbox moves back MUCH further. Daigo calls it the "super hadoken". More possible tech to be found.

not just a server lag thing? my game can hitch in weird ways which make it seem like frames are being dropped, but it's actually network latency

honestly getting ONO out, cutting the lights, then showing the Akuma trailer
and then just ending the stream right there
was an amazing way to present that
invite sent
Is akuma still considered a part of season 1? is he the start of season 2? Are they just going to be pushing new characters out constantly?
