Was very weird to play our biggest rivals at a small suburban ground. We won though. Of course we did. We have a 100% record against them any time the clubs play at a stadium for the first time.

Kinda weird to see Vinnie Lia running round in a Red's shirt. I hope he does well for you, and it's always nice to see anyone sticking it to Melbourne.

Can see him being rather like Paul Reid was for us. Won't be a standout but reliably solid.

Yeah. There's no flair or excitement to his game, but he's determined and dedicated and plays for the team. You couldn't build a team around him, but his experience and demeanor could be a valuable contribution to help settle a rebuilding phase at Adelaide, and I think it might be a good fit for both player and club.
Why is Wenger still there? Did he become chairman when nobody was looking?
Thierry Henry as a pundit explained a little insight into the situation, but basically the club board is comfortable with the status quo. Wenger won't shake things up or force the changes needed, the board are happy they don't have to spend and have a net profit every window, a large number of players are comfortable accepting where they are.
I'm pretty sure everyone wins in the Ox deal, though Liverpool paying 40 million pounds seems excessive. Potentially good talent though, that Arsene was terrible at managing. I do wonder if Klopp plays him centrally or not.

I believe it is being reported that he picked Liverpool over Chelsea because the latter were going to make him play on the wing which he didn't want.
I would have said 40 million was a massive amount but this transfer window has been rather silly and everything seems to be inflated.
USSF has rejected NASL's Div II application. USL still has provisional Div II status.
This is probably going to end up the death of the NASL - stable clubs will be looking to move to USL/CPL (Canadian Premiere League which is launching). Teams possibly lost in the lurch: New York Cosmos (due to their history, as much as anything else), Miami FC (depending on Beckham situation), and Puerto Rico FC (USL not wanting to take on travel considerations).
A second home loss during the CONCACAF World Cup qualifying Hexagonal had ramped up the pressure on the U.S. men's national team, and the Americans just barely averted the disaster of facing even more.
Bobby Wood's 85th-minute equalizer salvaged a 1-1 World Cup qualifying draw that relieves some of the tension around the USA but still will leave plenty wanting better, especially coming off Friday's 2-0 loss at Red Bull Arena to Costa Rica.
The USMNT is in shambles just as we get Pulisic. Going backwards to Arena from Klinsmann was just the amateur hour stuff you expect from a poorly run organization.

Chelsea looks like it to managed to play pretty well late considering the short handednss, but damn those were ugly penalties.

It was like watching group therapy.
Amazing stuff. I mean, I was expecting these videos in November but Arsenal is the drama gift that keeps on giving.

Majority shareholder is Stan Kroenke, so apparently everything you would expect
Yeah.

I'm not even angry about Arsenal anymore. This is more disappointing than the tail end of George Graham's reign.
He will be a long term replacement for Milner.

Is Mexico going to have to save them?

Yeah. NZ is now headed for South America 5th in the other .5 confed playoff, which right now is.... Argentina.
We're so fucked.

If NASL takes their case to domestic court, USSF would be automatically be suspended while the case is ongoing, which would torpedo the world cup bid.
