Also here's a question. I don't have an airbrush so to save the torture of brush painting I'm going to use Tamiya spray cans for the main colours before using brushes for the smaller details. Is it still worth priming considering that the first coat of the spray will almost be acting as a primer layer in itself?

I have no useful advice, but the astray red frame is the only mg I have built and omg I love that kit so much I got hype just seeing you were going to build it. The huge fuck off transforming sword is such a good gimmick for an already cool kit. Are other mgs as good? Or is it all down hill from here? (I'm generally not interested in the regular ol ms, the base Gundam design just kinda bores me)

It is always worth priming if you will be painting unless you're using a self-priming type of paint. Prior to priming, I recommend cleaning as follows:
1) Let the parts / sub assemblies soak in simple green overnight
2) Scrub the parts with an old tooth brush
3) Wash with water
4) Allow 24 hours to dry laying on a towel. If you are worried about dust, cover with another light towel.
This will remove all of the grease from your fingers, mold release agent, dust particles, and anything else that builds up on the surface. Then you can prime, wait some time for it to dry, and then rattle can to the colors you want.
I know this takes longer, but it will prevent any adhesion issues so you'll have no chipping, minimal scraping, etc. After you're done painting, make sure to topcoat!
If you use acrylics you just use water to thin the paint.
If you pick up Tamiya paints (which often Gunpla painting guides use the colours for) then you'll need the Tamiya thinner, when thinned with water the paint dries much too quickly.
I have the first season HG, and it's pretty nice. The shoulder backpack has space for the arms to fold up inside it, it's a nicely done gimmick. Seems like it would be easy to port to another model, it's really its own little pod.

The biggest issue with the Guision Rebake and the Full city is that they come with almost no weapons. Rebake only comes with one rifle, and Full City only has its scissor shield and a pair of tiny knuckle dusters.

I've had this idea, just turn certain ornaments and functional stuff into Gunpla dioramas
A couple of Doms holding up the toilet paper roll. A Zaku and GM fighting with your toothbrushes. A Big O doorstop. The possibilties are endless!
honestly the first season's designs are a bit boring imo

Im building this weird boy either way
Is there one graze we gotta start with or can it be any basic-ish graze
Make it yours
Is there a deadline you wanna shoot for? I'd be interested but I don't wanna commit and then run out of time.
Yeah I'd be game if I had more details to plan around
Im aiming for the end of march for my dude
Anyways, for inspiration

Meet the graze asura
That is the second angriest Graze I've ever seen!
Why I fear the ocean.
Throne Drei ROTKOENIGIN for a 30 day build that I finished in less than a day because I have no patience and am simple
Also Me: "...oh god Perfect Grade Unicorn is really really nice looking."
Im curious how the multi arm thing works

Really glad I have a leftover pink beam saber lyin' around because they sure don't give you one with this kit!

Does anyone have a problem with using:
Kitbashing
Scrathbuilding
Airbrushing?
Satanic rituals
Knuckle dusters are probably my second favourite gunpla weapon
