I feel like this doesn't quite file it in the same category as Undertale (ie. great game I will never ever play again), but I sure am not going to pick this up again for a long while.
I have no idea what to do with Pascal and this really fucking sucks.
I feel like refusing either choice and walking away is the "most right"move, but every option really, really sucks and I don't know what A2 would choose.
Will I just know when I'm on Route <whatever> in NieR?
I really have not played much, as I'm going to buy a gamepad tomorrow (playing on PC haven't owned a console since PS2) and the KBM controls are fine for 3rd person action, but kind of pants when it expects to be dualstick.

Yeah, it's very obvious. Route A is your first playthrough, and getting the other endings is just a matter of playing through NG+. So B is second playthrough and C is the 3rd.
I ended up deleting Pascal's memories, mostly cause it felt like something A2 would do. A more well adjusted person might just walk away and/or try and snap Pascal out of it, but A2 has so much self loathing that it felt more natural for her to take the burden on herself and give Pascal the rest he wanted. Didn't kill him cause A2 is not-so-secretly a softy. And of course it's not just a simple dialouge option, pick delete the memories and boom it's over, no of course that'd be too simple. Instead you have to actually hack in and manually delete each memory one by one, while Pascal's voice is being all happy in the background, because Yoko Taro want the player to feel complicit in his characters terrible decisions. Way to really hit me right in the heart, game.
And of course when I go back to the village as 9S, Pascal is there as a merchant selling various machine parts, including Children's Cores and fucking fist weapons made out of Machine Heads holy fuck this game throws dark. Jesus I feel like such an asshole.
it's a jrpg where you advance down two different timelines and you frequently need to change timelines to alter what happens in the other one or learn new information

Radiant Historian is one of the best RPGs ever made in regards to both story and play mechanics.
You play one of two branching stories made by a simple decision at the start of the game and can switch back and forth at will. You need to constantly go back and forth, though, in order to figure out what is plaguing the country. You might find that a guy who wants to kill you in one route is your ally in another, or that some key item in one route lets you pass in the other, and sometimes fixing one route affects both because MAGIC. And the battle system is streetlight tactical and one of the few times I have felt in control during an RPG in general.
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.

Man, I have forgotten all the story to Radiant Historia because it doesn't really have replayability (like, say, Crono Trigger, as you can get almost every ending on your first run through)
But the only thing I remember is that it is awesome. And the General is the cat's pajamas.

Maybe if you attack during the flash it makes the attack hit harder?
