Nintendo better not make it a habit to say "we're working on this major series, promise!" with nothing to show for it. Them speaking about it so early with nothing to show means they're trying to curb a criticism faced about the Switch. And yet its so transparent. That was some weak ass shit. I'd rather they withhold talking about Pokemon or Metroid until they have something to show. That was pathetically bad.

they made one bad Metroid game and then a not-Metroid game where Samus was the final boss. i don't think we can write off the franchise as a whole just yet.
