I am still super pissed I missed a Bruce Campbell book signing multiple years ago.
He stayed far after the Barnes and Noble closed making sure he talked to everyone who came and ended up hanging out in the parking lot prank calling people's friends.
I was an extra in Patch Adams back in the day and met Robin Williams. He would bike back and forth from the set and yell jokes at us as he passed.
I also met Liam Neeson after a performance of the Crucible on Broadway around 15 years ago. He's super tall and super nice. I'm 5'11 and the picture I have with him has him stooping down to get in it.
I've also done a bunch of professional plays with actors that have popped up in some super popular stuff recently. The girl that David Barbour wakes up next to in the second episode of Stranger Things is a college buddy. And the guy that plays Clayface on Gotham played Hamlet for my old theatre company a couple of years ago. I was Laertes in that one.
Haven't done anything in a few years though, ever since the kids were born. Takes a lot of time away from home.
I did Fiddler on the Roof with with Ingrid Michaelson (now a [pretty big?] singer) in high school.
Rebekka Johnson (who was in Glow) was also in Fiddler. I had such a crush on her in high school.
I also did a totally different production of Fiddler at a girl's catholic high school (same part, oddly enough) with a girl who now does softcore porn and was a Penthouse Pet and was in stuff like Life on Top.

Lucas Neff (Jimmy from Raising Hope) introduced himself to me when I was an extra on Downward Dog. He was very friendly. Another time I said hi to Timothy Omundson at crafty, told him I love him in Galavant. He was very gracious, but seemed like a quiet guy. Tended to stand by himself in the corner. I didn’t converse further because I didn’t want to bother him at work
Also why I didn’t say anything to Alison Tohlman or (when I was on Mindhunter) Jonathan Groff even though he was sitting right by me for a long time (pretty sure he was checking his script on his phone)
Oh and I was a stand-in on a Lifetime movie Vondie Curtis-Hall (Ben Urich from Daredevil) directed, but I think at most we nodded at each other

when my wife was working for american apparel back when amazing spider-man was yet to come out, she had an encounter with a melancholy andrew garfield who was sitting alone in the store, mournfully waiting for his friends to finish shopping
it wasn't particularly funny at the time but bojack horseman has retroactively made it a perfect garfield encounter

A friend and I went to the local (and sadly, recently closed) nerd bar that'd been around since the 70s on a night out a few years back; the doorman eagerly whispered to us, "Hey, are you Game of Thrones fans? Khal Drogo is here."
Turned out Jason Momoa was at the bar with his two managers, with the bar only having about 10-15 people total including employees (it was only 10:30 or so, and the place only ever picked up around 11:30 or 12)
I see him off to the side drinking alone and tell my friend I'm gonna buy him a round. So I go over, say "Hi, I'm a fan of your work; can I get you a drink?" To which he responds, in a deep, gravelly voice: "Jager."
Taking that to mean a Jagerbomb, I buy three of them as he comes over. Keeping in mind that my friend is around a 6'3" amazon, the guy was huge enough to tower over her head and shoulders. He could probably crush my skull with one hand. He's huge.
Anyway, he looks perplexed, shrugs, bypasses the -bomb part and just shoots Jager straight.
We get a picture, he heads back to hang out with his managers. A short while later, the DJ's got a set going but no one's on the floor, so the Khal himself heads over alone (who at this point seemed to have been drinking for.... probably a fair bit longer than we'd been at the place, and was now tearing the dance floor up.)
My friend, who is usually the person who gets on the dance floor first, suggests we head over and join him. So we do! We knew of course he already had a significant other and weren't, like, dancing up on him, just with him. It wound up being incredibly fun!
At one point when the place was starting to pick up a bit, I went off to the side to talk to a cute guy (who was, of course, already in a relationship, but we had a nice conversation anyway). I glanced over and saw Jason looking my way, noting that I was off the floor for a while, before clearly moving to dance with my friend so she wasn't alone. It was very cool of him.
Anyway, we hung out with him and his managers until about 1 (who were also great conversation, but had the unenviable task of dislodging some of the drunker ladies who tried to drape themselves across him as the club got closer to full capacity), thanked them for the nice evening and wished them the best for the rest of the convention. They invited us to say hi to them at the next day's events but for whatever reason we didn't make it out.
Incredibly nice guy, I'm happy to see his career go places and hope Aquaman works out for him!

Nicholas Cage shot the Frozen ground at my hotel. He complimented our decor. And Vanessa hudgens complimented my dog who was not impressed by her.
I also found out that cage drinks soy lattes.
I started watching 11.22.63 today and the first episode covers a lot more ground than I was expecting and also not that much ground at all? Which is weird!
