Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you purchase a game and receive a key, can't you give a game via proxy that way?
Yeah, but you don't get keys for games bought through Steam, they're tied to the account. So you'd have to buy your games via a third party site to do it that way.
Yes, that's what I was thinking.
Unfortunately there's a fair number of games on Steam that you can't get via third party sites.
Humble has a pretty good selection though and you get to give to charity.

They're watching. They're always watching.
They said you have a ch *shhhhhhk*

But nothing is without cost. Oh god, the cost.
Solve this. If not, they'll..... just s *kssshk* ve it, please.

For my Santa, I'm like 95% sure I'm buying a PS4 this week along with Last of Us and Horizon. Just so you're aware. I'll post again when I do actually buy it.
I should mention that I'm HORRIBLE at checking my mail and my front office never lets me know when a package has arrived, so just a heads up that a delivery is coming would be greatly appreciated!
So on Saturday, my wife and I were about to leave to go to dinner when I noticed a box on the front porch. We weren't expecting anything, and it slowly dawned on me that perhaps this was my secret santa gift!
I handed the present to the present inspector. Normally these duties are taken care of by our cats, but my son has been working on his deputy inspector badge!
After some careful coaxing I was able to take the present back from the deputy present inspector. I honestly had no idea what it might be. It was relatively heavy, so my first guess was books or maybe a collector DVD set or something. I tore back a corner and literally gasped. I knew what the logo was. It was the Star Fox 2 logo. I knew what this box was, though I'd never seen one "in the wild"
I honestly thought I would never get one of these--the funds and time to search for one just weren't there. I'm blown away by the generosity of random strangers on the internet.
I've spent about 3 hours playing it so far, mainly looking at the games I've never played before. Star Fox 2 is fun though radically different from the first game. I started playing through Earthbound, which I've never played before, as well as Super Castlevania. I love this thing!
So who was my amazing Santa? I opened the card, and it is: @Zython ! Thanks, Santa, for this awesome gift! I can't wait until my son starts playing these games with me!

Oh man very nice! I'm very interested in those things. Star Fox 2!!

I figure a few of these will make their rounds this Christmas. It's a fantastic gift. Hell, I wouldn't mind getting one. ;P
It's fantasitc to be able to have that for your little one as they grow a bit though. Tablet/phone games can suck a lemon!
The cats are too busy chowing to help here, sorry.
I had to handle this personally.
A tube! A cardboard tube! ...a poster?
An amazing poster for one of my favorite films ever, Dark City. I HAVE to know where this came from. It's amazing.
Thanks Santa. You're a true detective.
He'd be proud.
It is a beautiful poster. I got it from CULTCLASSICPOSTERS.COM.
Know that I'm really sad about it though...
I found another poster which was a limited edition alternate created by Chris Skinner in 2015. I actually got ahold of him and asked if I could get buy a digital copy to displate it or whatever, and he said no. So in respect to his wishes I didn't, but hot damn is this a simply fantastic piece of art:
There's also this black and white version, which is a little different but equally as impressive:
Know that I tried @cj iwakura ! I would have loved to send either of these lol.
It was a gift from my Santa! I'm sorry it took so long to do my Gift Get, but I got home and my mom wanted to Skype with the kids, and then I had to run (I have a 5 mile run on Thanksgiving) and eat dinner... The list was WAY too long, especially knowing this box was staring at me!
This was sitting on my dinner table waiting for me to finish. All censored and stuff.
Aha! A wrapped gift is inside!
A note is attached: "I 'heard' you wanted these. Ho ho ho. G&T Secret Santa". Oh no... I think I know what they are...!
The Jaybird X3s!? I have my Turkey Trot on Thursday and these will be perfect on them! I've been using my wife's wired since my wireless ones died on me. (I was going to buy these headphones but since I had to bring my wife to the ER twice for a kidney stones I decided to put the purchase on the back burner. And she's fine now, it's all passed!)
I seriously cannot get over how amazing this forum is! Thank you so much Santa! I need you to reveal yourself! I didn't seem to find a name or anything anywhere! Also forgive the portrait pictures... I had my phone turned but it didn't detect it for some reason (probably disabled it). Also I'm an old man now so get off my lawn.

Thank you! Those are both really cool, but honestly I enjoy the understated nature of this one. The silhouettes of the Strangers is inspired.
I think I may have been gifted, as there was an Amazon box at my door when I left for work this morning, but it didn't feel heavy enough to be the D&D book I ordered that should also be delivered today. I'm thinking it's from my Santa here, since CF SANTA sent me a PM yesterday asking for address clarification for an out of country shipper. Granted, that may have been incredibly skill misdirection on their part but it seems unlikely for some reason.
Unfortunately, I still had to go to work instead of opening the box to determine if I had, in fact, been gifted.
Thus began the longest work day of the season. So far it's been one hour (by the clock) or one half of an infinite spiraling eternity of madness and anticipation (by feel).
Edit:
So, turns out it was the copy of Xanathar's Guide to Everything that I had ordered, and I have not yet been gifted.
Sorry for the false alarm. Please feel free to retract your awesomes.

I thought this might be a special font, but Google didn't turn anything up.
Then I thought maybe there's some ASCII or special characters arranged in a code, but aside from manually looking up each individual character I didn't find a way to "translate" these symbols.

Dunno if that's what's meant, but I definitely see a choice for you to make here.

Have you never read the Hornblower series or the Aubrey / Maturin books?
You are in for some amazing stuff.
Like, those may be my favorite book series ever. The way O’Brien just captures the voices of his characters - dude.

And then if you like them, you can read the sci-fi versions (Honor Harrington, Midshipman’s Hope) or the fantasy versions (Temeraire) ...
