There's a Nintendo Direct reportedly scheduled for the 15th, in which we will hear nothing about a Super Mario Sunshine Remaster, so who cares????

    Interesting, the colors are reversed from the Japanese release and the Walmart bundle. So you could get all pink and all green.

    They did that with the red/blue ones at launch too. It's a good move and a savvy way to help push people who were considering getting them over the edge

    Given that a huge chunk of BotW was originally designed as a top-down 2D game? I'm totally down to see what they think a BotW-inspired game should look like on 3DS.

    Link's Awakening has one of the most compact game worlds in the series. Nintendo's remakes are at their best when they do interesting things that differentiate the remake just enough not to obsolete the original. It's just crazy enough to work.

    Things I want from the direct:

    FE Switch announcement (More for @Janson than for me)
    DQXI Switch coming to the West
    Smash Bros Switch?
    Some more western RPGs coming to the Switch. I know Wasteland 2 is coming for it, but maybe, I dunno, Pillars of Eternity?

    I admit some of the desire for western games on the Switch is for the sheer novelty of having something like an Infinity Engine-ass game on the Switch.

    I feel like BotW's open world only worked well because of how well-realized the landscape was and how good it felt to move around in it. In a top-down 2D format you don't get any of that, so you're just left with a big empty open world with nothing to do. The 2D version of BotW would have been boring as sin.

    A cool thing to do would be to officially release translated versions of some of the JRPGs that game to SNES in Japan but not to the west. Live-A-Life, Bahamut Lagoon, etc.

    The BoW elements probably mean it'll be third person and the dungeon order will be removed. Maybe a total map redesign? They could toss epona in there too if its gonna use their OoT engine.

    My wild guess is something Pokemon related is going to be announced, even if it's minor. I feel like it's too early to even get a name for the Switch RPG, but a port of Coliseum or the modern TCG would be nice.

    Well sure, obviously I'm commenting on the rumor. Studio that did the 3D Zelda ports on 3DS is probably working in that same engine
