    so most of the DBS manga is available to read for free in english on viz's website here https://www.viz.com/shonenjump/chapters/dragon-ball-super
    it seems better than the anime to me in most ways

    I'm worried there won't be enough time in episode 131 to finish the tournament AND revive King Kai.

    Poor guy could use a break.

    I think it has a lot of stronger areas but is also weaker in a lot of parts

    A lot of the character moments from the lead up to the ToP are completely absent, for example, and the climax to Goku Black is nowhere near as good

    Supreme Kais usually just go on with the process.

    The Elder Kai and King Kai have been exceptions to this because comedy.

    Didn't they revive everyone killed by Cell with the dragon? If King Kai refused to be revived, like Goku did, then this is really on him at this point.

    I think in Super, King Kai says they wished back everyone on Earth who had been killed by Cell, and was annoyed by that distinction.

    If a Kai dies they just get back up with a halo

    If you die while dead you're just gone.

    If a GoD of destruction uses his aura on you you also cease to exist

    And he did. Goku was dead from the end of Cell through most of Buu.

    The pacing of that movie was insane

    I liked the very distinct visual style for all the comical Gotenks vs. Hitler stuff, and Janemba was a completely shallow villain but he looked cool and had a really fun to watch combat style so that counts for a bit

    Vegeta just being resigned to suffering in Hell for eternity after sacrificing himself is a huge bummer and I am glad that never actually happened outside of the movies

    Gogeta was around for like a minute and a half and his glitter bomb attack was lame

    Overall it was fine. Funny, flew by at a breakneck pace and had some great action scenes and basically zero substance beyond that.

    Next up: Bojack

    If it helps Piccolo is pretty clear Vegeta wasn't even going to hell he was just going to reincarnate.

    Also my rewatch is reminding me of an awesome character that they never went back to, Android 8, aka Eighter, bring Eighter back, have him hang out with the other Androids, c'mon

    He didn't die, though. One core cell survived, from which he regenerated, because Freeza's resilience and Piccolo's regeneration is a busted combo. Gohan killed him.

    I love the Bojack movie. Probably my favorite film overall for the fighting/action scenes.
