A lot of the character moments from the lead up to the ToP are completely absent, for example, and the climax to Goku Black is nowhere near as good
Supreme Kais usually just go on with the process.
The Elder Kai and King Kai have been exceptions to this because comedy.

I am watching Fusion Reborn for the first time
It's funny because the fusion happens between people who aren't reborn and are in fact dead
I liked the very distinct visual style for all the comical Gotenks vs. Hitler stuff, and Janemba was a completely shallow villain but he looked cool and had a really fun to watch combat style so that counts for a bit
Vegeta just being resigned to suffering in Hell for eternity after sacrificing himself is a huge bummer and I am glad that never actually happened outside of the movies
Gogeta was around for like a minute and a half and his glitter bomb attack was lame
Overall it was fine. Funny, flew by at a breakneck pace and had some great action scenes and basically zero substance beyond that.
Next up: Bojack

Also my rewatch is reminding me of an awesome character that they never went back to, Android 8, aka Eighter, bring Eighter back, have him hang out with the other Androids, c'mon
He didn't die, though. One core cell survived, from which he regenerated, because Freeza's resilience and Piccolo's regeneration is a busted combo. Gohan killed him.
I suspect Shenron's jurisdiction, if not his power, is restricted to people who are currently dead and present in whatever timeline he exists in.

I love the Bojack movie. Probably my favorite film overall for the fighting/action scenes.
