Normally it's a pain in the ass mission where you have to tail this lady and you can't go into the street or something and as soon as they went weird places and just waited I knew they'd found whatever weird co-op spots will let them always be close enough to her to count as "tailing" her while never getting spotted.
I don't know much about the game aside from people having upsold it as being amazing.
Is this an instance of a game being really popular and being made a bonus incentive without much consideration for how (un)fun the speedrun would be?
i mean, it's only an hour. i'll sit through any rpg speedrun for an hour in the background just to see what ridiculous mechanic they use to beat an rpg at like level nothing.
better than 5 hours of twilight princess yet again.
I liked the twilight princess run so I guess I am part of the problem. And I don't even like that one, it is my least liked Zelda. A good runner with a good couch running a game in a way I haven't seen before works great for me. Glad they picked a new JRPG to run with Octopath. At least it wasn't another chrono trigger or FF7 run.

Something about SMRPG makes it stand out a lot. I think it's because of some of the categories, like the low level run. That thing is goddamn torture but amusing as shit.

It has a very high bar of execution because of the game mechanics unlike pretty much every other RPG. Like yeah good menu use, maybe some glitches, but not landing the same attack with a 3-frame window 70+ times in a row.
