I missed the second half of cheevos, but I won't be able to attend the week raid nights until the week of the 22nd of April, which is basically easter, so might be hard to get people then.

Is there anyone else who plays regularly but doesn't have AOTC or the rep cheevs that want them?
I know there were some people who missed cheevs part 1 up to the loa bosses, so I'd be willing to do a re-tread of those to get everyone squared away
I missed the first half of cheevs and it'd be cool to do them but unlike AOTC those aren't time sensitive so if I'm the only one I don't really mind just...waiting until next expansion.
The first few are probably a huge pain to get alone, and I don't know how solo-able Opulence will be, even if the numbers work out, just due to how the mini-bosses work.
i'd like to at least get the jadefire masters one done for my paladin because that strikes me as another soft-hands style bullshit that will be absolutely unpug-able.

Most of the cheevos are pretty easy, fortunately. Just deal with a relatively simple add.

MDI is streaming on the Warcraft twitch channel, casted by Sloot and Naguura. They're doing a nice job with it, I think. First match I tuned into was Shrine +18 Fortified Grievous Raging Reaping, and it's pretty interesting viewing. The ilvl scale set to 415 means that a +18 is normally pretty easy, so you see the teams doing really crazy combo pulls to cut down their timer.
It also highlights just how good an affix Reaping is, from the different ways that groups craft their strategy around timing their waves.
Did a Freehold last night where we had the 80% reaping on the big bridge to last boss which was an excellent funnel into our DH's eyebeam. Then we got to 100% with all bosses dead so no last reaping, which was the bee's knees.
Season 3 will be very intriguing, to see if they can continue the upwards trend or if reaping was an anomaly

I assume they'll go something Old Godsy for Season 3, since Azshara Raid will be 8.2. There's probably good design space available there for someone better at game design than me, but yeah, I'm also looking forward to what they do with that.

do you think this comp is only so mandatory because of reaping or do you think they would be running this in M+ either way since AOE is basically how you do it anyway?
probably something to be said for being on a realm where they can just pick their class / perfect gear loadout so of course you'll just go whatever is the optimal in all situations
rogues are also basically required for high m+, shroud is broken
Reaping definitely makes it aoe-focused, but unless the affix really nullifies it, that's not likely to change, since the biggest time-saver in M+ are really, really large trash pulls.

they just announced the AK will go for another 4 weeks
makes sense considering i got to level 46 and the next level was 50k, meaning it'd be a shit load of AP to reach 48 without more AK

Go bigger. A large number multiplied by a very small number can still be a very small number, after all
ive said it and i'll keep saying it.
Infested was bad to me because the best way to handle the mechanic was the sap something then pull less mobs.
Sapping things isnt fun. Fighting less mobs isnt fun.
