@Eddy - while I can sympathize with the ingress/egress particulars of locals... I’m a selfish being and only care about these airports as transit stops on my way somewhere else. Thus, these airports are graded on how angry I am by the time I board my connecting flight. Newark = Happy Drunk. JFK = Sweaty, Hungry (because there was zero time since they shutdown the T1 security line for about 30 minutes waiting for a dog that was parked on the curb), and extremely irritated.
Bone marrow biopsy is back and we have a diagnosis: acute myelogenous leukemia
5-year prognosis varies depending on certain genetic factors, as high as 70% and as low as 15%, with the “normal” median group at 48% (per Wikipedia).
Grim, but not hopeless. Today’s labs were worse than yesterday’s, but blood counts are stable albeit still critical. In bad news, the patient (being immunodeficient because no white cell production) now has pneumonia and fevers.
