Urza's Rage and Wall of Blossoms are being reprinted, both at uncommon. That's a downshift for Urza's Rage.

Soulherder looks rad, and while I love the art, it doesn't quite reach the threshold of "make sure everyone knows that this Spirit does not have flying"

Aw Soulherder deconfirms Shardless Agent. I guess it makes sense, Azorius and Golgari were the only pairs that had only one card revealed before today, but I was hoping for the agent for some reason.

Oh I guess Barren Moor was one number off from what I thought, so we've got one more land between Barren Moor and Fiery Islet. Could be a reprint of Crystal Vein, Cabal Coffers, or... :galaxy brain: Command Tower!!! :P

A three mana red creature that ramps you and still feels incredibly red. This is an amazing design.

Probably gives some nice early pacing to a rg deck based around lands in gy

It's definitely a solid uncommon that ties together both the lands-in-GY theme and the snow theme (you can fetch a 1-of snow mountain pretty easily and sac a regular mountain).

You can also pack 1 of each red Shockland and use Mr. Alps there fetch them for the color you need if you're currently Mountain heavy.

It's the original art and I am a bit surprised they didn't change it given their modern card art standards.

I love the blend of basically everything here, old mechanics fused with new, references and callbacks both blatant and subtle. This is like a Magic all-stars set.

While I'm fond of Shelter's art back then, I've never really understood why the lady was pantsless.

So there was a brief flurry today of people suspecting that Fountain of Ichor meant Ixalan was going to be invaded by Phyrexia, or that Karn had somehow left some of the oil during his initial travelings as a planeswalker.

Alison Luhr, however, has confirmed there are no Phyrexian shenanigans.

So apparently they just found crude oil? And then it can turn into a dinosaur, because fossil fuels lol.

They sure love playing with Convoke spells. Convoke+Devour, Convoke+Delve... I am disappointed we didn't get a Convoke+Populate spell. Just combine both the Selesnya mechanics!

Stupid thought while skimming this and some Theros searches - maybe the reason centaurs are 2/4 is because they got two hands and four feet.

Edit: Ravnican centaurs are more well rounded as 3/3s, though.

There were a bunch of 3/3 centaurs on Theros too? At least half a dozen plus the usual 3/3 token.

Some interesting commons (I'm surprised they haven't made a card called "Defile" before). Super cool art on Ephemerate.

I don't understand this card at all
