I took Penn State and the points but I do think Ohio State wins by 10-14 points. 18 1/2 is a ton of points to give to another top 10 team.

I want to say Rutgers is the only team OSU has failed to cover against this season

They also failed to cover against FAU.

I get it, but 18 1/5 is so many against a team in the top 10.

I think failing to cover vs Rutgers and FAU should combine to count as a L

I think the computers and Vegas think PSU is a little fraudulent. They keep winning but they don't look impressive very often. I think it probably also reflects Hamler's concussion, since he's a little more than half the PSU passing game.

I remain annoyed we no showed the first half and put a safety on Hamler twice.

Recurring issue - our ends have a bad habit of getting upfield too quick and breaking contain on lateral run plays. Usually our LB's are just way more athletic than the opponent and cover this flaw, but definitely not against someone as good as Dobbins.

Clifford has been really bad so far. Threw into a safety when PSU had picked off every OSU defender on the right side and had Hamler all alone on a wheel.

That was basically his only really bad throw? And yes, it was awful. That needs to be outside shoulder, but it's not a bad read if he puts the ball in the right spot. Friermuth had to come about 3 yards inside just to contest the ball, safety can't get there if it's thrown outside.

Edit: And of course as soon as I defend him he throws that awful ball.

His second worst play was a keep read on a run play. Both OSU LBs had vacated the middle of the field and if he gives the ball Cain is to the safeties unless Chase Young makes a truly ridiculous play. Clifford instead ran into both LBs and Young who had redirected to the outside, for a 3 yard loss. His reads have suuucked.

Other difference in this game is Franklin's punted twice from the better team's 40 and Day went for it.

Super cool how OSU can run in to the punter and get away with it.

This game should be 28+-0. PSU is super lucky to be vaguely in it.
Super cool how OSU can run in to the punter and get away with it.

Was 4th and 8 I think so wouldn't have mattered.

Ultimately no it didn't, but that would have been another 25-30 seconds off the clock, which could have mattered a lot. Also it was a crappy punt.

Our D looks amazing but I feel like we let Penn State hang around and that worries me. I may still be scarred from the last time we led 14-0 at the half against Penn State.

It is very recent Penn State to be in this game somehow.

I mean, this is where the recruiting success comes through. We aren't on Ohio State's level yet, but realistically no one in the nation really is. But we are as close as anyone besides Bama.

There is a MASSIVE talent disparity. Also, LSU exists.

Hey now! Texas A&M and Arkansas are both playing top quality opponents. The rest of the SEC does appear to be enjoying an extra bye week.

That's technically our starting right guard. Center is out for the game, was injured in practice.

Eh, game was over as soon as Levis threw that pick. But it is what it is.

That opening possession looked like a team focused on Ohio State and not Indiana. Which was the worry three months ago, even before Indiana turned out to be goodish.

Officiating in Bloomington is, um, shaky at best. Decided Giles Jackson being entirely on the ground was not actually down and wasted our time needing a replay when he got up and ran for a TD.
