So I got the shit kicked out of me by those Slaaneshi. He hit +75% of his diversion rolls to force my units to go last in combats. Also, I'm not sure if Nighthaunt can kill Fiends of Slaanesh. I may just have to tarpit them. I'll post lists when he responds.

I'm considering it. It may just be better to tarpit, then ignore them. Other solutions involve the Bonereaper Catapult which will blow the shit out of them. Only gotta kill 3 of the 6 before they lose the -1 to wound melee aura.
I'm also looking at a Mourngul. Hide him in a unit of Shademisted Chainrasps, and his -1 aura will make them nigh-unkillable, while keeping him out of danger. He also has 2" melee so he can reach over the frontline to smack things.

So among other things I'd love to see to make the Flesh Eater courts feel better aside from a boost to their aesthetic (I'm a bit disappointed how much the Grymwatch fall in with normal Flesh Eater design in so many ways), is if their mad quests and delusions were in some wise true. Like, I'd love to see stories about how these corpse eating madmen ride out from a dilapidated castle littered with bones to fight off Orruk invasions of nearby normal city-states as though they WERE noble knights, or like in the Beastgrave thing how the Grymkin are on a mad quest to slay some terrible beast in the heart of the mountain, I would love for that to be a real monster and they only know about it because they're crazy. Stuff like that.
Capital is only the fruit of labor, and could never have existed if Labor had not first existed. Labor is superior to capital, and deserves much the higher consideration. - Lincoln
I've been looking at some of the rules for the bone bros and they look really interesting. Seems like they can be quite tanky with the amount of units that can heal other units.
Sure is! I figured Ogres would be a good place to give myself some rookie-sculpting challenge. They're big and chunky with lots of room for error. I always liked the Ogre model range, but they've some some weirdness to them... first off, their heads have no fat? Like... they have these really lean necks and collar bones, which just isn't how fat gets distributed. Where's the double chins? The jowls?
And second, their heads and weapons are all really big, which has the inverse affect of making ogres look really small and almost infantile in proportion (adult sons!). Orc heads are smaller, but not too small to look ridiculous, and I've always had a fondness for old-school pig-orcs (like moblins from zelda) and the delicious irony of man-eating hogs.
Yeah, I already mentioned it in the paint thread, but you did a really good job making the Ogor sculpt look less stiff, which had always put me off of the army.

You should field an army of about 30 - 50 of them.
So I have a model that can easily proxy as a Butcher. I figure I should take two instead of a tyrant and might convert one. Should I just keep things simple and go double tyrant?
I might expand with a BCR Start collecting at some point. I dont know if that matters.
edit: I figure I should take a second butcher to cash in on the tribe bonus, otherwise I could run a second ironblaster and run a tyrant instead(or 2 tyrants)...

butchers are much better in bloodgullet, which also happens to probably be the best tribe
I would get some ironguts and maybe a stonehorn
also split up the glutton unit when at higher points, you benefit from the mawpot and the bloodgullet item by splitting wounds across many units
The GW Facebook page is in a sassy mood and replied to someone suggesting that, by saying they already sold base converters that just took a bit of time and linking to their hobby files.

My guess is some kind of specialist game? I dunno.
So they've posted another video with two guys discussing Horus Heresy the tabletop and say wouldn't it be cool if Age of Sigmar had something similar....
Ah the guy in the video is the head of Forgeworld/specialist games so it might be a soft reboot of Warhammer Fantasy or something?

If this is bringing back Fantasy, the last four years are going to look real weird in retrospect.
People have already convinced themselves its WHFB coming back, or Mordheim coming back...whatever it turns out to be, lots of people are gunna be salty a f

A pinch of salt sprinkled into the salt mine that is our hobby.
Dangerous. Announcing things this vague and this far out lets every nerd fill in the missing details with their personal dream desires, leading to much grumping when said dreams fail to materialise.

Mm, colour me uninterested at this stage, I've never been much of a one for FW stuff, and AoS has been a lot more fun for me than the old world ever was.
I can't imagine that they'd be interested in making a system which just lets people dust off their old armies, so I'm guessing a change in scale? More like the total warhammer game, perhaps? Idk.
If they're gonna do WHFB it's gonna need a serious rules revamp. Fuck actually playing that game. It was ridiculously bloated and convuluted in a lot of ways

You mean like Warmaster? (epic/titan legion scale fantasy) ;-P I'm intrigued by just having the Fantasy storylines/world back. The game WAS bloated, hopefully they work something out.

It was where my brother would make fun of how it was far more complex than his textbooks and tomes for law schools also calling it a rat crushing tome
They’re releasing a Beastgrave ‘gift pack’ with a bunch of Shadespire card reprints, a cardboard ‘dashboard’, some tokens, and 10 new exclusive cards.
As a long term player I am not best pleased as that makes it a very expensive 10 cards along with a lot of cruft I have no need or want for.
They were really good to long term players last season, releasing a special cards only pack for us when some older models we already owned got repackaged with new cards. This just feels like gouging.
I feel like i’m basically done with Underworlds. I’m not salty or anything but feeling like you need to buy most/all releases to get the card options, combined with older sets cycling out and the fact that i dont really get to play very often just dropped my enthusiasm.
That said, i’m very pumped to see the Brute sculpts!

Where are you getting ‘new cards’ from? The Warhammr Community article only mentions new/exclusive art.

...or possibly lady? Can't tell from bones.

With bonereapers it's probably multiple of both.
They're not skeletons. They are skeletal constructs. So the answer is simply: yes.

Announcement this afternoon.

Doesn't really what type of game it'll be. Like if it's just a straight up redo of Fantasy.
Several years away and has its own team working on it.
