That's right, you read that correctly. If you didn't, this probably is not the thread for you.
Let's us outbound high schoolers talk about colleges...where you've applied, where you're going, tips for the process, whatever. I'd like to try to keep actual talk about college out of this, but if you must so be it...this is a thread for people going to college.
Personally, I'm a Junior in the state with the shittiest public schooling in the nation...and yes, I go to a public school for the incredible drama department. I'm a bit concerned...my top two choices are Pitzer and Pomona of the Claremont Colleges, but they seem like reach schools. I sent my National Merit Scholar thing to them, and I have a 2220 on my SATs and a ~3.8-4.0 (weighted) GPA...do any of you know these schools, and what my chances are of getting in?
But this isn't all about me. Stressed about the process, the testing, the hopes resting on your shoulders, leaving this summer, next summer, two summers ahead but starting to think about it...whatever.
MAEK SMRT!
Oh, sorry, college.
Make intelligent posts, chappies.

Everybody Gets Laid!
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
I am bound for community college next year, and if all goes as planned, UC Davis the year after.
Take that Bitterman!
And was fucking hung over as shit.
the exact question was
"Do people work better alone or in a group?"
I was so stunned that it was that dumb
come on guys
i felt like writing
"some people do
some people dont
what the fuck is wrong with you"
the worst part is i didn't finish it
but the place where i left off looked like it could have been an ending
whatever i missed like 2 points
fuck the SATs
I suppose I should stop changing my major.
Got a 9, then an 11, out of 12.
Who is that young man?
I would like to make him my secretary of Partying Down!
Assuming I would have 800ed it, I'd have the same score as the OP.
I've have yet to reg for those, but given that I raped the shit out of the SATs it's not something I'm overly concerned about.
fuck da poliice
Did average on the ACT, 23 or 24.
The way to take scores between the old and new version is this:
(Old score/2) x 3
or
(New score/3) x 2
I'm gonna bet that if he can turn on his computer without adult supervision, he can figure out how to readjust from 1600 to 2400.
And for some reason, I took the SAT II: Writing and got an 800.
I still forget why I took that.
probably could have gotten higher had i taken it a second time
I perfected the English section and lost all my points on the math.
So actually.... >_>
protatoe
hohohoho
Or you could not be a bloomin' ignoramus and realize that some people have NO IDEA what the SAT change entailed. Rather than saying "they added another 800-point section" and having SOMEONE go "oh, so I add 800 points to my score?", I figured I'd lay things out.
i can do this
assuming i know what your talking about
which i think i do
i would have gotten so much better if math wasn't important
OH WAIT IT ISNT
you don't graduate freshman year of anything, sport
