You think so? It felt more like a mid-season cliffhanger than a season finale to me.
Mostly in the sense that like, if you get literally nothing more, the message of "these two sisters were pushed to the extremes of this broken society and it ended in a terrorist strike that broke a peace which could have started to mend it" is a good, compelling one.
Sure maybe seeing the fall out proper of the Council strike would make for a more final ending but the themes are still conveyed

I feel like Arcane was easily enjoyed by people who don't play LoL which is great, a wider audience can enjoy the show.
End spoiler
I feel like the ending is way easier to enjoy as a LoL player while not playing would make that ending kind of a massive disappointment.
Yea, I'm mastery 5 and I'm not getting anything for the S ranks I'm getting. Where would I see them?
They're in the crafting tab and are one of the first things you see (along with chests, gemstones, and other crafting materials).
The S ranks do have to be on the regular Summoner's Rift mode, if that's an issue. You'll also get notified in the post-game lobby.
Oh, I've been goofing off in the ultimate spellbook stuff so I guess that is why. Kind of lame that I can get mastery points in those modes but not get the stuff to move to mastery 6.

Oh sure, I want more. Just also I think the ending stands on the core piltover/Zaun stuff well.

but surely you agree that that's kinda secondary?
I mean arcane was soooo focussed on the personal stuff and character arcs, the whole "2 class society" thing in the background was more relevant to vander/silco and briefly in the jinx/cait/vi triangle.
As it stands, I have way too many questions!
1) how does viktor go from being the downtrodden idealist to the mechanical evolution supremacist we know him as?
2) who survives the hextech rocket in the end?
3) how does cait end up as sheriff given her previous street beat cop rank? Please don't let it be nepotism!
4) how does vi end up as an enforcer?
5) how would (possibly) Cait's mother dying impact cait and vi's relationship?
6) all the other stuff that, granted, could, as it is, stand on it's own (heimerdinger helping out in firelight, singed/warwick/oriana, ekko's chronoshift)
I don't think I can wait another 4 years for the next season. *hrrrrk*
edit:
I'm seeing alot of support for Jinx on reddit and I am confused why.
She's a bad apple, deep down.
It's easy to support Jinx because she's such a product of the city.
More force of nature than actual person. She just does shit because people are assholes and need to get jinxed. For better and worse
Yes, but on the other hand ..
she gets off on violence and explosions and doesn't care who gets hurt.
Sympathising with her and what the rest of the lower city people have to put up with?
Yes. Buuut there are people out there that are just outright ignoring all of the horrific stuff she does .. ah, got it. Now I know what's stuck in my craw.
It has "Joker has the right of it" vibes.

Wait, there was an Orianna teaser? Was there an implication that she's Singed's daughter or something? I missed that. I did finally like they YES OKAY VANDER IS WARWICK bit.
God I want M O R E. Especially more Viktor. I can see the start of "emotions are a weakness" after he accidentally kills poor Sky... wondering if they're going to go for the angle that it's actually the HexCore becoming sentient and taking over his personality, given that the reason he couldn't destroy it is that it seems to briefly take control of him. Also, the implication that nobody knows about Sky's death yet...? I'm actually not quite sure why Viktor would cover that up, especially if he actually wants the HexCore destroyed; going "Hey there was a horrific lab accident and though I *did* totally for real take precautions it turns out that thing is suuuuper dangerous and it killed somebody." Is he afraid that he'll be kicked out entirely?
Also are they setting up Sevika to be the new champ? Like, she has a *very clear* set of abilities by the end which would work well as a champ.

There wasn't a teaser for Orianna unless they are completely changing Orianna's lore to make her Singed's daughter.
I guess I could see it happen, they are changing the current lore for Vi, Cait, Jinx, Viktor, and Jayce already.

Hooray!
I was wondering whether it would be the same region and characters as first season or if they would set it in some other part of the world. I would be happy with either.
Yowzer, what a cliffhanger
I really hope they do a season 2.
I'll also take the semi violyn ship!
Arcane had done incredibly well ratings wise. It dethroned Squid game. It will have no trouble getting to season 3.
I have had no interest in LoL or DotA games for ages, but this was legitimately great. It’s got a huge audience aside from gamers too, so what they have done here is fantastic on every level.
Jinx has best crazy eye I have seen for a long time.
I actually recoiled in horror when the first assist showed up in that Project L trailer. I can't believe Rising Thunder died for this, absolute tragedy.
There'd better be some real fucking grime in this to make up for it. I want to be able to roll up with maximum subhuman degeneracy to farm rage off the casual players it draws in briefly.

I have no idea why, but around here support seems like the most popular role to play.
it's because most of us started playing before new champion select, and in order not to be an asshole you had to be willing to fill, and fill generally meant support since this was also before support item/ward reworks

I really hope it's option 2 since they have so many different regions and characters to explore. But the little teaser announcement seems to suggest option 1 by using voice clips of the current characters.

My guess would be they introduce another world without totally abandoning what happened to Piltover in the end. They talked a lot about Noxus and that's where I think they'll go next.

I would love them to focus on Noxus because I am a Swain main and I love that little chud
Humor can be dissected as a frog can, but dies in the process.
Heck nowadays between Pyke, Brand, Senna and so on it's literally possible to do 'carry' supports that actually are about scaling or snowball potential.

Arcane:
I wonder if Swain is the person who killed the councilors brother and wants more. I also was thinking it could have been Sion but I’m not as up on Noxus lore.

almost 100% it's Swain given all the damn crows in Arcane
So Silco's lead hench(wo)man and what's her name's Noxian mommy are absolutely going to be future game champs eh?

Arcane finale spoilers
Swain killed the previous ruler of Noxus who was getting them into wars with mass casualties and little to show for it and installed a triumvirate of himself, Darius, and Draven.
If the brother was the ruler of Noxus, then yes it’s swain. Otherwise it could literally be anyone because Noxus whole thing is extreme libertarianism: the strong take what they want.

Brand is slowly becoming my go-to pick when I play on SR and we are low on magic damage. It used to be Morgana but kills are the best CC.
