LOVE
BIRB
We have a flock of 7-9 oriental pied hornbills in my neighborhood and they bring me so much joy all the time despite being EXTREMELY loud and not beautiful-sounding
This morning I saw rose-ringed parakeets around the block - they come and go in the 'hood just like the tanimbar corellas
Both of those are introduced, the hornbills are native and have made a great recovery from near-local-extinction
We also have a few oriental magpie robins around my block that sound so beautiful it's amazing. Unfortunately this means that they're very popular as illegally-caught-and-caged songbirds, which is a real issue here
big ol' flock of american robins migrating through our neighborhood today, when they flew in it was a cacophany of birdsong as they helpfully munched a bunch of the berries off our holly tree. Sadly didn't get any good pictures because I don't know how to take good phone camera pictures.

Turkey: *minding own business*
Eagle: I'm gonna eat that turkey.
Turkey:
There's a flock of seven(?) wild turkeys that have become thoroughly accustomed to wandering around my neighborhood. They have no fear of people or cars. They aren't aggressive (yet), but they'll come right up to you, surround you, and coo hopefully for food.
Obviously this behavior is not ideal, so I chase them off whenever they approach me. But they are such beautiful animals, and it's honestly amazing to see them up close.
They are also very obviously dinosaurs at that distance. Gorgeous, iridescent bronze dinosaurs with pink and blue faces and elegant, stabby ivory beaks

That turkey was running as fast as that eagle was flying, if my perception from the slow motion was correct.

On Friday at the beach here someone pissed off one of the resident peacocks enough that it flipped out and flew down the road at about 3 meters honking furiously

Because if you're going to attempt to squeeze that big black monster into your slot you will need to be able to take at least 12 inches or else you're going to have a bad time...
Fun fact: the flight call of the white-winged crossbill is "yep!" A flock of them flying around cheerfully says, "Yep! Yep yep yep! Yep yep!" continuously.

False Knees is a comic with well drawn birbs. Also the comic is probably true about mourning doves.
