Two separate stands. The waffles were sweet with chocolate and biscoff and marshmallows etc.
The pizza stand was not designed for the throughput of a lunch rush however. I got in the (considerable) line at 12:06pm, it took me 20 minutes to order and I had time to stand in the (shorter) line for a waffle before my pizza was ready, at 12:40pm.
I know it technically happened last night, but I didn't find out about Kissinger until I woke up this morning so I'm giving credit for his demise to Thursday.

MiniT has been going through some sleep regression the past couple weeks. He was waking up every 1-2 hours at night and only napping for 30 minutes at a time during the day.
Last night he settled back into sleeping for 3 hour chunks and had a monster nap this morning.
So the guy who gave me the initial PT referral put suspected tendinitis for the shoulder, and shrugged at the ankle since the bloodwork didn't explain the apparent inflammation, only offering steroids if the pain continued bc he thought there was no point in PT for it. Heart my PCP, who gave a referral for the ankle just on my say-so.
PT (after a month of twice a week) says the impingement in my shoulder is gone, but we can continue building strength, and the peroneal muscle affecting the ankle is still pretty tight, but definitely improving. And insurance is still covering treatment, so I've now got at least another month on deck.
While my therapy session this morning brought up Feelings, it's necessary and good work. My therapist also called me out, predicting that over the break, I won't reach out for help if I need it, I'll just compartmentalize, which made me laugh. But I countered that I had ordered a couple books, so I'm at least going to try and work through more of my shit instead of hiding.
(Adult Children of Emotionally Immature Parents and a couple Brené Brown books.) God love my parents, but I'm picking through how I've inherited their trauma, and how that's affected my self-identity, and familial roles and relationships. That's a whole kettle of fish. 41 years old and still learning personal dysfunction vs healthy boundaries. Never too old or young to learn better.
So I'm short on sleep, and despite a good PT session, still a bit sore from going a bit ham at my last PT session, but I'm full of egg salad on a bagel and cheesecake, and feeling, I dunno, truly okay. Not 'okay' in lieu of saying that I'm feeling nothing, really just 'meh.' Not full on optimistic or joyful, but a little bit at peace for the moment. Ah. In the moment. There it is.
I'm almost done filling out my insurance claim for my stolen bike. Actually, I should go finish that now.
I also went to see my psychologist, and gathered materiel for Secret Satan on the way home. And a tamarind-flavored Jarritos. Not that bad. Subdued, a bit tangy, not very sweet. B+

the DDS my family's been going to for years retired and sold his practice to a younger pair of doctors, and they're nice but it was a little surreal seeing all the ways the place has changed (gone are the dentistry-related newspaper comics plastered to the ceiling, swapped out for flat screen TVs in the treatment rooms looping bombastic classical music youtube playlists)
anyways no cavities or anything but i may be needing to get a night guard cos whoops i be clenching them teefs

On this Thursday I was packing for a trip (and playing games, but still)
My folks and I are going down to Pennsylvania to see my sister, about 40 minutes out of Philly. While I've wanted to see her place for a while now, and see some things near her that I've wanted to for a year or two (like the Pinball Gallery (seriously look at the game list at this place it's nuts) it's kind of bittersweet for me. (Whiny post below)
This weekend is also PAX Unplugged in Philly, and I was supposed to go. However, my spinal issues have gotten worse and worse, and I needed a new mobility scooter to help me even get around a store with the amount of pain my back and neck are in, much less a convention center. My parents and I decided (well, they said I shouldn't and I didn't want to argue because I kinda agreed) that I shouldn't go a couple weeks ago, and in the time since things have only gotten worse to the point that I've got constant neck pain and my right arm and shoulder are constantly hurting as well due to nerve pain and spasms. I still have my ticket, I got really depressed and threw it in the corner of my room and forgot about it. I didn't think we were still going down to see my sister, but we are, so I'm going to be down there but not going to the show
I know this all sounds whiny and lame, but it's still a bummer that I'm too hurt to go to the thing I was waiting a year for, but I'm going to be there anyway with it just out of my reach. I don't know why my back and neck are doing this to me, I'm going to have to get neck surgery again, it all just happened at the same time and ruined a thing that was going to let me forget about things for a while.

Due to various complications, I'm down to four guests for dinner and roleplaying who can't arrive until after five and have to leave by eight
Also I found out just in time that I've first is allergic to nuts and legumes, so I swapped the lentil shepherd's pie to a fake chicken pot pie, but he kept going on about "oh don't worry about me I'm used to not eating out" so I'm unsure whether he's going to risk some kind of nut cross contamination
Hosting is stressful y'all, but at least I get to try out some Christmas dinner ideas ahead of time
