Since nobody in the previous football thread wanted to make a new one, I took it upon myself to do so, as a meddlesome American outsider who knows fuck all about anything.
Football is, ostensibly, a sport where two teams of eleven people try to kick the ball into the back of each others net. However, despite appearances, it is actually a vector for the common man to sublimate his hatred and contempt for others into a socially acceptable form. Like yelling at the telly.
At the time of writing, Arsenal are currently top of the table in the Premier League with Man City biting at their heels, Napoli are currently leading Serie A, Barcelona are at the top of La Liga, Dortmund(!) is leading the Bundesliga by three points, and PSG is five points ahead of Marseille. The MLS is wrapping up its initial matchday today.
