I managed to fix my constant heinous lag & rubberbanding issues on PS5. It seems to be connected with having multiple Network connection options in the PS5 settings - I had 2 wired connections, and two different WiFi's saved. I told the PS5 to 'Forget' everything except the Wired connection I actually use and voila, lag fixed.
It seems like D4 makes your PS5 constantly scan all saved connections, or something. Which you think they would have patched out by now given how common the problem seems to be according to Reddit. Hopefully this helps someone out there like it did me, as I was just about ready to put the game down until I discovered this.
Do strongholds reset? I've cleared every stronghold but couldn't run a dungeon for one because the map said I needed to complete the stronghold.
I don't believe so. Had you been playing multiplayer? When you join a party you switch into the host's game state, and I don't think you always return to your own when the party splits up.

Unlocked "Essence on Kill" on my Paragon board. Absolute game changer for Bone Spear Necro. I have so much more Bone Spear uptime now, it's crazy.
Had two DC's near end of solo dungeon runs (2nd I was two hits from killing last boss). Gave up for the night after it gave me message my account was "locked" and to wait to log back in...
It's starting to get pretty annoying getting items that have a sorc ability on them, but also something like Dexterity. D3 got rid of this and it was a huge QoL upgrade, is there any reason for this apart from making gearing up take longer?

also just generic stats gives you loads of minor things eg this hammer:
gives me like 10% total damage, 4% more mitigation from armour, 1% crit chance, some resistances etc
Made my first alt last night. Found out that alts don't get the benefit of map exploration. They also don't get the benefit of seeing which Lilith statues you already found, which means alts can't meaningfully contribute to unlocks. It also means all those dungeons that I scouted that have powers for other classes was not scouting at all. I have to re-find them again. And I might as well just do them on my main since I don't know where they are on my alt. Also, the renown track resets (you keep your rewards from the bottom row) but what this means, just like with Lilith statues, my alt can't meaningfully contribute to finishing the renown track since it all starts over.
Makes me not want to play an alt since they basically cannot contribute to my account progress. (Yes, I realize technically they can, but without the knowledge of the map or having everything pre-explored it's more like starting over than not).
I have one main, and after finishing the campaign, I created an alt for each other class for wardrobe salvage purposes, and to push them to level 15-20 to see what their specialisation are. One alt is for playing in a group so that we level equally, and I think the “2nd main” will be for when the season starts.
It would be indeed nice to have the already explored map for other characters be in very light gray, but then again, I wish that when you spot an Altar, it would appear in white on the map, and turn gray when you activated it, as it is now.
Your criticism is very valid, and maybe it’ll change in the future, but for now, it are the birthing pains of the game (a bit like when D3 started you had to do the story over and over again).
Thinking that leveling one character, maybe even a second to level 55-60 each season and saving other builds for later is going to be the best way to survive all these games coming out + backlog.

Yeah, I probably won't dedicate time to an alt until the first season drops. Until then I'll fart around with a few classes to 20-30 just to get a feel. But right now I'm focused on getting ready for the WT3 capstone. I'm trying to hit renown rank 5 in Fractured Peaks to get my paragon points, and run a few nm dungeons to upgrade my glyphs, but I'm going to make another attempt at 62 I think. There's really nothing left for me to do in WT3.
Renown is wonky with the character specific unlocks being a thing they had to keep some things character specific. At least you have the mount and core waypoints. Almost everything else is account wide. Dungeon unlocks, money, murmurs, mats etc.
It needs modification. You can start whispers at level 1 though which is nice.
Doesn't map exploration actually give you XP/other rewards? I can see why they don't want a fully cleared map for alts. They could still show icons for cleared lilith statues and dungeons though.
Renown for exploring a map is funny to me as a concept. Some schmuck at the inn in some Scosglen backwater all, “Aye, you hear about TopiaryTammy? Discovered the Devil’s Den Hole on the other side o’ the bog an hour ago, don’t’cha know it? Heard she found a statue there!”
I'm kind of obsessed with dual wielding rain of arrows + 360 flurry - it's making it hard to look at upgrades, though I know I can imprint the aspect for those on new stuff I find. The one I have is 15% flurry instead of 8% from my codex aspect - I'm guessing that's some kind of RNG thing? This shit is confusing - I need general Diablo spreadsheetery training.

There can be two things in play here;
First, some elements of legendaries are randomized within a range. So like the amulet that a lot of folks get (as a campaign quest drop I believe?) that gives the shield bubble can roll between 3 and 5 seconds for duration.
Codex versions of aspects always have the lowest of these, so it's only 3 seconds in this case (this is off the cuff, numbers are more for examples to work with).
However, you can get a bonus for applying aspects to certain slots. I believe the amulet typically gives +50% to effects, and 2 handed weapons give +100%, so having the 3-5 second bubble of immunity can actually be 4.5-7.5 seconds on an amulet.
Not every aspect can be put on every slot, so my dream of 10 seconds is cut short by not being able to apply that one to weapons, as I recall.
First they came for the Muslims, and we said NOT TODAY, MOTHERFUCKER!

The codex will always offer the lowest roll on the item, so it's nice as as placeholder until you can pull the affix off an item. Make sure you turn on the advanced tooltips in the gameplay settings menu and you canb see the potential rolls on gear.
I am not nearly as far in as pretty much everyone else here -- still juggling a few games alongside this -- but wooh I finally got the legendary that makes frozen orb cool (makes it explode in place a couple of times after it finishes traveling) and now have a skill that's both effective and fun. I'm hoping I can ride this to end game! I had the ice shards unique and it killed stuff well, but just didn't feel super good overall.
Also, I've only seen like two people on the overmap in 30+ levels. I'm not complaining! Just kind of strange given how front and center the online stuff is. It definitely disproves the notion that this game needs to be online -- my experience up to this point would just be exactly the same but without the lag if it were singleplayer -- but ultimately I've been playing any ARPG online that gives me the choice since D2 so it's not exactly my battle to fight.

Neat trick: put Aspect of Encircling Blades on your bow and you'll get double the bonus for it being a 2h. I've got a bow with max roll for that aspect, giving me 30% increased damage for the skill.
I hate when Diablo makes me kill bears. Make them goblin bears or something so I don’t hate myself!
The funniest thing was when I was doing a side quest to help someone track down whoever killed their pet/friend bear, and on the way to find the culprit we were attacked by and murdered at least a dozen bears.
"What about the bear we just murdered though..."
"That bear? Oh that was Jason. Jason was an asshole. Fuck Jason."

I'm still mostly enjoying the campaign experience, but man does this game need some major polish and QoL work. I know it's just sort of the nature of this sort of game (I posted in a discussion months ago how if you wait a year to buy D4, you will be playing a better game than those who are playing today).
I just hope the whole live service, cash shop, paid battle pass thing pulling in some minnow/whale action means there will be enough work being done to get this stuff fixed sooner rather than later.
I think this game has some hidden pay to win features
using the trample skill on a wide screen by clicking near the edges causes my bear druid to cross 1.5 dungeon rooms its great AND hilarious
maybe its the same for other blink/traversal skills?

I don't excuse this kind of thing exactly, but at the same time I've just come to accept that like 90% of AAA games are released unfinished. This often goes for single player experiences too.
Will it be better a year from now? Without a doubt. Is it good now? To me, very much so.

I read this as Essence of Kill, which sounds like some sort of perfume for necromancers or serial killers.
MORT by Rathma.

It's a small thing, but I continue to chuckle when I stumble across "Uncommon Bow"... but it's a rare.
Got layers like an onion on that one.

Don't die. Loot the 175 chests first, but they don't show up on map.

except for kha'zix from league of legends
if you see him just run away until the music stops.
Doggo on the other hand…
Also when it starts raining fire, look for the big demon to guy to spawn. They drop mats and a bunch of shards.
