I believe in the recent one where the dad's reincarnated as an ojou-sama, he treats them all like his kids and just wants them to all hook up and be happy together.
In some of them the child/old guy sees children as children and not peers/romantic partners. In some I've read they say things like "and maybe it's because I have the brain of a child now but I'm feeling more like a kid too" kind of stuff.
If I died and woke up on another world, then I would have confirmation in life after death, the existence of souls, a higher power and other worlds. This would blow my mind! I'd likely start taking incredible risks now I know that death is not the end
I read a lot of new and upcoming light novels* and my pet peeve is people isekai-ing and immediately bemoaning the lack of a cheat skill or leveling system
*I understand that this is a hell of my own making
I read through that a while ago and meant to recommend it here, because it's a ton of fun and has some great high points, but it also has some just straight up sexual violence later on, which is a bit of a tough hurdle to overcome. It's, like, a handful of panels at most (if I remember correctly), and it's The Bad Guys doing it, but the story could also just as easily have not had that happen, and I wish it hadn't.

I mostly agree, but it had so many great character moments(the clone death stare, "you fail" - no notes, the new characters being great), that I was willing to go along for the ride.
Also, they had to get through to the north, and this was the only way, so presumably it's on track for more adventuring in S3.
Yeah, I don't get that bored, blond elf. I'm assuming her intentions are made more clear later, but as is, what's her with the pass/fail conditions? They all seemed so random.

She's just very, very good at assessing someone's fitness for the role of First Class Mage based on their mana and attitude. She wants people who are strong, ambitious, smart, and confident. Everyone she rejected was missing one of those key attributes.
And now you can enjoy this:
But yes, she's an immortal elf to whom things like common sense and logic have no place.
Also probably more for non-Elf/long-living beings as well.

Yeah pretty much. It was designed for humans to be taking, and is about more than just raw power and magical aptitude but also about temperament, ability to cooperate, think on your feet, be creative, and to see if they can even survive in the dangerous places they'd be allowed to travel to.
(Spoilers for the latest manga chapter)
Basically, the First Class Mage Exam set up a number of story beats that are going to pay off in season 2, and you need to learn about the characters for them to work. The big one there is Denken, as he's the main focus of the next big arc, El Dorado - but even little things will have big dividends.
Bloodlust means that when facing down her magical aura the mage does not instinctively give up automatically, but faces it head-on. Like Denken, whose initial response to that aura was to fight it, even if he then decided he had no chance.
Fearlessness means that when facing down her magical aura the mage disregards her strength entirely or finds some aspect of it/her more worthy of their focus. Land is a great example of this, thinking he was going to get away with his bullshit.
The idea behind a First Class mage is that they must be capable of visualizing the possibility of victory from potentially impossible odds. So either a mage hellbent on fighting or one that just sees the world far differently from everyone else. Those are the ones most likely to survive.
