Playing as that recently, I went reduvia/great knife instead but curved swords are fine too.

I also went and whacked Greyoll in the leg for 5 minutes (while I had a golden-pickled fowl foot buff) to get 90,000 runes and 5 dragon hearts. Not very 'natural' though.

I've found the Orgain protein shakes and drinks to be pretty tasty. Their Organic Nutrition Shake is their meal replacement drink and are available at Costco and BJ's in 18 packs. Though I'd try and find small packs to make sure you like the flavors before you buy it in quantity.

friends, i've been having a big struggle lately and could really use some help/recommendations - i'm on a soft diet because of getting dental stuff done, and am really struggling to get enough food because i'm almost exclusively having soup along with yogurt but the former has so much sodium i don't want to overdo it and it just isn't enough :(

one of my best friends recommended looking into protein shakes/powders as meal supplements, but wasn't really sure where to look beyond that - does anyone have any recommendations? i would really appreciate it, thank you :)

Make yourself some large batches of simple soups? Without much salt?

Like, you can make a bunch of different low effort vegetables soups by combining a vegetable with like potato and blend that into soup.

One of my old lunch staples is aash-e gandom. Texture-wise, it's similar to a thick curry. Can be eaten with little to no chewing unless you add ground beef or lamb, although for a soft food version I'd recommend using frozen chopped spinach rather than fresh leaves.

Lentils, chickpeas, split peas, black eyed peas, onions, and spinach. It's got cross proteins for days, and although the recipe as written gives you a nice mild earthy flavor, you can treat the base like any curry or chili and spice it up however you want. While you need to plan ahead to soak the lentils and peas in the fridge overnight and it takes a while to cook, the active cooking time is pretty much limited to sauteing the onions until they go soft and then stirring it every ten to fifteen minutes while you watch Taskmaster in the other room. And since it's mostly made from bags of dried ingredients from the bottom shelves of the rice and beans aisle, it's absurdly cheap.

    Recipe:
    Aash-e Gandom

    Ingredients
    2 large onions
    8 oz dried chickpeas
    8 oz dried black-eyed peas
    8 oz dried lentils
    8 oz dried split peas
    1/2 teaspoon turmeric
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper
    8 oz spinach
    2 tablespoons flour
    3 tablespoons cooking oil

    Instructions
    1. Soak peas, beans, and lentils in water for 4-5 hours.
    2. Cook meat in large sauce pan or stock pot until browned.
    3. Peel and chop onions and add to meat, stirring until onion is soft and slightly transparent.
    4. Add hot water, peas, beans, lentils, turmeric, salt and pepper, and cook over low heat for about one hour, stirring frequently.
    5. Wash spinach and add to the aash.
    6. Cook for another 10-15 minutes.
    7. Fry one spoonful of flour in oil for a few minutes and add to the aash.
    8. Stir and cook for a few more minutes.

I usually use the canned pumpkin puree. But if you're used to using fresh pumpkin, I'd expect butternut squash to work as a substitute.

i'm only used to using canned as well.

but i have this squash, you see.... and no real other plans lol

I finally had a Ramune for the first time yesterday. It was neat!
The glass marble bottle is a weird gimmick and it's way harder to open than I thought it would be lol. I had the original flavor which is kinda like a weird bubble gum flavor? It was weird but alright, I'd have it again. The place also had the melon flavor but I didn't get to have it.

The first time I ever had a Ramune I was like, 16 and it was at Japanese Epcot or whatever you call it in the Disney Land.

I couldn't figure out the marble and had to go back into the big... pagoda... shop... thing and the very sweet Japanese lady made a very big deal about showing me how to pop the marble. She applauded and cheered when I finally got it and I immediately tried to go climb onto the tram tracks to get obliterated by the train.

So now the only flavor of Ramune I get is blistering shame.

We went to a Chinese restaurant over the weekend (Joe's Noodle House for any of my MoCo peeps) and it was gratifying to see the reaction from the staff when my kids didn't need forks (11 and 13), they were surprised and then pleased, especially when it was clear that my kids could actually eat with chopsticks and we weren't just trying to look good or something. I don't try to pretend that we're not white and American as hell but I refuse to be the dumbass that goes into a restaurant and asks for a fork when the default is chopsticks and neither will my kids, if I have anything to say about it.

Yeah, try to keep the noodles away from your butt, unless they arrive there by way of your digestive tract, then it’s probably fine.

Edit: if you like the soup you can just put the bowl to your face, no need to go digging with the spoon, drink it on up.

Why would it not be okay to drink soup directly out of the bowl? I do that with every soup, a spoon is simply insufficient to consume that stuff in a reasonable time, it's for getting the solid stuff out of the soup and nothing more

Unrelated, my eldest has finally gotten into Marvel this year (he liked the heroes, but couldn't stand MCU barring a couple movies here and there) at 9 years. We've been slowly doing a full, in order watch through and we just finished the episode of Loki where Loki got sent back to the Void. I forgot how good Loki was especially compared to the other stuff that first year or so out of COVID. He was mad at me that I wouldn't let him watch the first few minutes of the next episode after seeing the group of Lokis in post credits.
