I finally (finally) got to read the first two issues of Thor
I am so fucking pumped for the next issue it is not even funny
I do think that the other gods must be in human shells, because they keep using that quote of finding and reawakening them, but I don't know what Thor will do about Loki. I know he'll have to be brought back in one way or another, but I get the feeling it will be Thor's choice to bring Loki back. It'll probably be one of those things where you can't have one without the other, or somesuch
I would be completely shocked if the first Asgardian Thor brought back wasn't Loki.
He may not have a choice in who/how they come back.

So no one has a problem with Tony giving Thor less respect than Nova on his return? Considering the guy's been friends with him his whole superhero life and got a glimpse of Ragnarok before Thor "died". Or is this...skrull tension?

Yeah
...Tony was acting like a total dick...wait a second he is a dick
Well, on his arrival, Nova didn't declare war by establishing an entire nation within the boundaries and land of the United States. Nova landed, was idiotically attacked by the Thunderbolts, and responded extremely rationally. Thor landed, and made his first move to do something he had to have known would be viewed as antagonistic by whoever was in charge of the USA at the time. Hell, one of the last things Thor did before Ragnarok was incur everyone's anger by hovering all of Asgard over America, exerting his will upon the populace. He should have realized this would be a problem.
Now, Stark is handling this (in the previews) in a stupid manner by being so directly antagonistic, but we'll see how it pans out. The short of it though is that at the very least, both of them are acting stupidly.

I THINK that that got undone eventually by some odin-power timetravel something-ness. or maybe it ended up being a dream of what would happen if something something.
i forget if he retained memory of it even though it "never" happened.
i could also be completely wrong.
oh! i just thought of a lovely resolution that will be ... lovely.
if somehow tony survives the return of both the hulk and thor, i hope he reconciles with thor and they become bestest buds so that loki can kill him.

I believe you're mistaken: it's still true that he hovered Asgard, etc. but instead of carrying it to the ultimate conclusion (and dominating the world), he stopped himself after receiving memories from that dystopic future. So, history records him starting to take over, but stopping himself.
In other words, he misbehaved for exactly the same reasons as Stark, but in a WAY worse way.
Well, my point was that Thor has no moral high-ground to chastise Stark, regardless.
However, the specifics of their actions are sufficiently different that Thor stopping doesn't mean it's morally right for Stark to stop: Thor was WAY worse.
Thor imposed a fascist state, where free will was crippled and human growth destroyed. Stark, on the other hand, is only concerned with powered individuals. Unless you're going to say that it's inevitable that Stark will grab for more power (something we have no indications of), you can't say they're equivalent.
Again, my problem with the character Thor's actions (not a problem with the comic, which I think is great so far) is that he's done something really screwed up: he's invaded a nation, declared war (by declaring his own state within that invaded land), and so far made no effort to even communicate with the invaded nation. He's not retarded: he still has memories of how this world works, etc. He's willfully chosen to do this in a provocative and aggressive manner for reasons that are unclear to me at this point.
I don't recall him declaring his own state within the US, just putting a huge house on land which he agreed to pay for after the point of it belong to someone was brought up. So its illegal for Norse Gods to own property?

I disagree.
Thor attempted to elevate.
Stark is trying to eliminate or restrict.
The fact that he has experience with planet-altering matters and has done the wrong thing, which he admits is the wrong thing, DOES give him a moral highground.
He knows it is a bad thing to do. (PS i read through some of the issues, and the impression i got was that one-eyed thor travelled back in time, depositted his memories in then-current thor and thus kept his future from ever happening)
Additionally, as long as someone is doing the wrong thing, there is a moral highground to stand on so long as you aren't doing the same thing (at the time) or planning to.
With regard to his re-founding of asgard, he has done nothing illegal. He has not invaded anywhere, he has not declared the sovereignty of asgard, and he has neither shown nor stated any desire to rule over anyone.
Also, he doesn't need to go after Stark for the Initiative stuff, since he's got every right to be pissed about the killer cyborg-clone. Thor's kicked people's asses for less than that.

Also, I really don't get all the complaints of "Nothing is happening!" I've been hearing(Other boards, not here.).
I mean, Issue one he came back and beat the crap out of the hordes of where he was, Issue two he remade Asgard.
Seems like a pretty good pace to me.
God forbid you have to actually click and drag instead of scrolling.
Maybe some people want to read the whole issue in one sitting?
Exactly. Plus I just really don't wanting to scroll through all that, especially on my laptop.
