I mean, god damn, I knew he has always had great ideas, best contemporary comics writer, blah blah blah, all that
but an entire actual issue of Batman, flagship fucking Batman done entirely in prose?
that is absolutely without a doubt the craziest god damned fucking thing I have ever seen in my history of comics
I 100% can not believe DC let him do that
I couldn't really believe that either.
Seems like the sort of thing that your average, casual comics reader would get pretty pissed off about, especially in a huge mainstream series like Batman.

Yet again, last night I got into bed and was faced with the decision: read the prosey Batman issue or watch the 11:00 local news. I watched the news. That's how unmotivated I am to read 32 pages of tightly packed black font.
And now today is new comics day. I have a feeling I won't be reading that issue for a long time.

Although, it's probably better that it's all writing. I wouldn't have been able to handle an entire issue of that shit art they threw in.

Incidentally, have there been any interviews or some such indicating why they decided to go with this format for this issue? I don't have a big problem with it, but I'm curious.

i would bone alfred until he needed to use his field medic training on me
But yeah, that whole half-naked man-beast thing was slightly disturbing.
Really?
I'm remembering huge cascades of chest hair for some reason.
Clogging Vicki's coot and stuff.
Alfred is a prim and proper man. He probably trims, if he grows a lot of hair at all.
I see. It's been a little while since I went through those issues. Not the most pleasant series to revisit over and over again, you see.
Oh I do. Oh I do.
I'm so hard right now.
Can Penguin watch?

I couldn't really believe that either.

I just had an image of Danny DeVito and Michael Caine, and threw up in my mouth.

Jesus.
You are such a girl.
It takes like 10 minutes to read.

Stop it! I am not!
Ohhh, I think I chipped my nail...
