I know, I'm confusing, aren't I? I talked it over with Lewie, and we agreed that the sword was OK.
I hate weapons generally, and games that involve fighting as well. I know that's most of the games I've painted, but I'm trying to be realistic without having double standards about things, too.
I've not painted anything with a gun in it, but I have done pictures with swords (SOTC being the first one that comes to mind), but not with them stabbing/slashing/cutting anything, either in scabbards or just being held up.
I think I will have to go image by image, and will probably make random seeming decisions, I'm sorry!

So, I'm back. I've had a rough few weeks and am currently off work - I got sent home last tuesday cos I couldn't string a whole sentence together! I've had a load of boring tests done, and its basically the dreaded CFS playing up.

Anyhow, I've finally started Regicid3's picture - pencil outline below:
I can't wait to see it! I am stationed in Korea now... do you think it would be an issue to mail it here? I have an APO so it wouldn't cost any more money to ship, I think you just have to fill out one separate form. If it's easier I can have it mailed home and they can take care of the rest... whatever is easier for you LPM!
So, lewieP has put windows 7 on my PC, and I'm discovering its joys. Somehow, I've renamed all my photos Regicid3 sky started. Yes, EVERY single photo I possess on my camera, even my Cuban holiday pics! I have no idea how I've managed that, but I'm sure he'll work out what I should do tomorrow.
Anyway, here is a picture, that really is Regicic3's, with the sky started. I've only done the sky in shades of grey, as when I added the green, it went a funny colour, so I'll do the green tinges tomorrow, when all this has dried thoroughly.
and here's a bit more done - I'm going to leave the green whooshy bits til later, as it seems easier to add them after I've done all the dark grey bits.
So, here's a bit more done - I've been busy finishing an oak table for LewieP's sister - Lewie sanded it, I waxed it, and so haven't painted much. Done some this afternoon:

I am however eagerly waiting for the line to be open again, I have several more ideas for LPM to take care of. This way I should have the ability to decorate an entire room in my future house with her art after I get out of graduate school.
Just stumbling on this thread. This is truly amazing. The work that you've done and the desire for just leading people to do good is amazing.
If you're still taking people on this list, I'd love to get a spot in line (still working my way through the pages.)

The colour of his uniform is a little inconsistent. Sometimes it's that purple, but in other renderings (especially newer ones) it's more of a navy blue.
Well, at last, I'm finally getting round to posting an update - what with the CFS being difficult, packing up LewieP's house, and helping LewieP's sister move out of our house and into her own, I've not had much painting time. I've finally remedied that and have nearly finished:
Sorry I've not posted for ages - combination of going to PAX East - brill fun, then getting PAX Pox - not so brill, and now LewieP's sister has broken her foot, so I'm looking after her when I'm not at work. LewieP is doing his bit, as well, as is LewieP's Mummy's Mummy!
Anyway, I'm going to try to get this finished this weekend, so watch this space.
