I don't know if I agree with the message. There are plenty of A-list celebrities who lead relatively normal lives. There's no question that paparazzi are aggravating the situation, but a lot of it is Britney's own doing.
I'd say with Britteny its kinda half and half here fault and everyone else. At this point its a real life carrie. Everything keeps getting worse for her but for some reason people can't feel pity for her anymore and just laugh. Its so creepy that now if she ever comites suicide no one will have tried to help but no one will be suprised.

This whole episode is based on a short story (I will try to remember the name) that had a similar "lottery" for human sacrifice where people were stoned to death for the harvest, the whole "lottery" thing was the twist at the end, and the woman handing her child a camera was reminiscant of a part where a woman handed her child a rock in the story. I mean, there was also the whole "celebrities are bothered too much" angle, but all in all I was laughing most of the time, especially during the camtoe part.

Wow, what a seriously, hilariously twisted episode. Personally, I totally saw the Hannah Montana bit coming. Poor girl's most likely going to end up like her in about a decade if she isn't careful. It's a vicious cycle. Young teen/kid idol is hyped up, has a few years of glory, then is followed by horrible, humiliating years of wash-out.

Ironically, the short story is called "The Lottery"
We weren't required to read it for class, but a friend of mine was. He said that's how he recognized it, I remembered seeing a movie adaptation of it yeeears ago and recall the ending of it. I'm kind of glad I didn't have to read it - seems eerie enough even as a satirical South Park episode.

It's cryptically amusing and somewhat humorous. Especially when they start handing rocks to small children who obviously can't carry them.

This was another one of those episodes that actually made me a little queasy. I don't know why, it isn't particularly realistic, but Britney missing the top half of her head and trying to talk/sing was... gross.

Oh my god that episode was disturbing. When Randy said, "Well, let's leave the poor girl alone now," and everyone walked away, I was laughing and cringing all at the same time.
When she blew her head off, and all the boys were just sitting there with their mouths open; my wife came in and asked if I was imitating them as I had my mouth just hanging open too. That was just awesome.

Yup. They chanted the same thing in the Damien episode in the early seasons. Ass Master, Rectal Dominator, whatever floats your boat. It pretty much means that in general.

I think Cartman should have taken a picture there, it's Cartman it'd only be natural for him. Not like he hasn't seen other people kill themselves (Something Wall-Mart Comes This Way, old owner of Wall-Mart shoots himself and craps his pants as per the running joke in the story, Cartman laughs). All in all I didn't find the episode that funny after this part. It was amusing and I'll give it another watch at some point to see if it grows on me but didn't seem to be one of their better episodes. I think they could have done better with ripping on Britney than this. However I did find the HRC comment of spearchucker quite funny as a rip on HRC (can't stand that woman, you guys better not elect her!), not for the actual comment itself.

I don't think they were trying to rip on Britney at all, it was more so how everyone knew she needed help but everyone was too preoccupied watching her go down they wouldn't help her. It honestly seemed to me like they felt sorry for her, or at least angry at the way people act about it all.

They had to have been ripping on her music to have her singing/performing. It wasn't a main point but that's how I saw it. Plus the camel toe bit but I wasn't paying as much attention to that part.
Man, I don't know if I'm ever going to enjoy any season of South Park as much as I enjoyed Season 10. Dog the Bounty Hunter, the 9/11 Conspiracy, World of Warcraft. Those are probably some of my favorite episodes.
I'm hoping season 12 gets better. The first two episodes weren't really doing it for me. That Britney episode was disturbing. I kind of get what they are saying, in that even if Britney's head was missing, people probably wouldn't notice because they love to hate her. But, goddamn.

I'm not the biggest South Park fan, and some episodes strike me as pandering by Matt and Trey. But episodes like this one, the whale episode, and such are downright unsettling and disturbing. I hardly laughed at the new episode, but it's golden in my book. Because it forces the audience member to think. South Park is, sometimes, a comedic vehicle for ultimately unsettling but true ideas.
Then of course episodes like "The Snuke" hit you over the head with the message and jokes, but I still laugh. :P

I think it was Rectus Dominus.
Which means Ass Master, apparently.
You're thinking of Devil May Cry 4. Loosely.
Yup. They chanted the same thing in the Damien episode in the early seasons. Ass Master, Rectal Dominator, whatever floats your boat. It pretty much means that in general.
My life is over.
They finally did it.
Every episode.
I am pretty sure they are saying Rectus Dominus.
Well as usual Titmouse, you're wrong.
You're hearing what you want to hear because there isn't a Dominus in there.
Sounds like "rectus halte poppymoose". Not saying thats what they are saying, thats what it sounds like.
But there AIN'T a dominus in there.
Finally a studio gets their ass in gear and realizes they can make millions off of the ads from letting everyone one watch their show on the internet
I disagree!
They're pronouncing it 'dom-may-noose.' It's definately there. It's a reference to weird church God stuff in general. Probably some movie too.

Yeah, I just watched the episode again. It totally doesn't sound like that. I can't tell what the hell they're saying at all.
