While I was both titillated and wet from Mr. D's campaign, I believe that !Mr.Blarney would be an excellent Admiral.
I have yet to see any sufficiently politicized message designed to convince me both that someone is an underhanded sneaky vote-rigger, as well as sexy. So I will throw my vote behind !Mr. Defecation pending an epic reveal of who is Baltar.
"There must be some way out of here," said the joker to the thief,
"There's too much confusion, I can't get no relief.
Businessmen, they drink my wine, plowmen dig my earth,
None of them along the line know what any of it is worth."
"No reason to get excited," the thief, he kindly spoke,
"There are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke.
But you and I, we've been through that, and this is not our fate,
So let us not talk falsely now, the hour is getting late."
All along the watchtower, princes kept the view
While all the women came and went, barefoot servants, too.
Outside in the distance a wildcat did growl,
Two riders were approaching, the wind began to howl.
I suppose I can vote for you Embark, but I reserve the right to post insulting images simultaneously.
However, I'm pretty sure all these mindless bandwagoners will continue to vote Blarney for no reason other than his spreadsheets, those they'll claim it's for other reasons. Which isn't to say Blarney isn't a valid choice, just that perhaps we should remember what happens sometimes when Blarney is trusted.
I've been fighting so long that fighting is the only thing I know. I mean, sure, I've had a "romance" or two, but it's not like I ever wanted to marry anyone. I don't really even miss my life on Phallica; hell, I can barely remember what it was like, but I can tell you it wasn't that good. I don't miss the Chrion either. She was a nice ship though, may she rest in peace. I guess I just don't get attached to things. But I miss my friends. The ones I made in the Academy; our little group of pilots. We killed toasters together, and we were pretty fracking good at it. Gambit, Avalon, Tanto, Aeon, Hector... I would have died for any of them.
But I'm getting ahead of myself. We survived the first Cylon attack after our escape from the Colonies. Now we had to find their spies in the fleet. If we could root them out, and make it to the Hecatean Nebula alive, maybe we could lose the Cylon fleet and be safe for a while. Beyond that, most of us were pretty clueless. We just hoped the new President Obbi and Admiral MrBlarney knew what they were doing, that they had some kind of a plan. And I guess they did.
But the Cylon, well, they had a plan too.
The Colonial Fleet has officially begun its journey!
The Fleet:
All ships are at 100% hull strength. Players stationed on different ships:
Military
Phallactica: Mr. Defecation, Maximus, Look Out it's Sabs!, MrBlarney
Pegasus: Oatway, Gorilla Salad
Adriatic: mrpaku, NATIK, Fat.Pig
Special
[*]Colonial One: PsychoCucumber, TheLawinator, El Skid, DevoutlyApathetic, Obbi
Research
[*]Rhadamantrys: cj iwakura, Crovaxan
[*]Celestra: sepah, Burnage
From today on, you can use the red vote to have one player executed for treason.
You can vote for a new President and a new Admiral every day if you want. If you retract your President or Admiral vote, please do it in the color of the vote in question.
The President is Obbi, he has been relocated to Colonial One.
Always stationed on Colonial One. If the fleet is attacked, Colonial One docks to the Phallactica, and the President is considered to be aboard the Phallactica.
Publicly Known Abilities:
The President may veto a Martial Law declaration. This can only happen once during the entire game.
The President can be killed by a direct kill ability, but the identity of the attacker will be announced in public due to the high security surrounding the President.
The President can use a limited seering ability on a player of his choice. The player can be on any ship. The President will find out whether the target is some kind of a special or not. Both the order to seer someone and the result will take in place privately. The President will receive the results as soon as I receive the PM (please note that this may take a while if you're on a distant time zone).
The Admiral is MrBlarney, he has been relocated to the Phallactica.
Always stationed on the Phallactica.
Publicly Known Abilities:
Makes all tactical decisions for a fleet battle.
Can declare or end a state of Martial Law. Declared in public and takes effect immediately. Under Martial Law, the Admiral gets a nightly kill that cannot be guarded against. The target can be any player in the fleet. Under Martial Law, all Presidential abilities are suspended. Martial Law can be in effect for a maximum of three days throughout the entire game.
The Admiral can be killed by a direct kill ability, but the identity of the attacker will be announced in public due to the high security surrounding the Admiral.
You can now move between ships. (Except the President and the Admiral can't).
You can move to any ship just by sending a PM to me. If you have other abilities, please try to send all your actions in one message. Repeated retractions of movement orders may arouse GM ire.
Updates to Rules and Game Mechanics:
What the ships do:
Military Ships: They fight. They defend the fleet by damaging attackers and, depending on the Admiral's orders, taking some of the damage directed at the other ships of the fleet. The two Phallastars are very heavily armored, but not indestructible. The Adriatic is a missile boat with heavy firepower but low hull strength (although still stronger than any non-military ships).
Research Ships: They produce items (given to random players) and upgrades to ship hulls and weapons, and upgrades to certain special roles. One random discovery is made each day. If one Research Ship is lost, the discoveries are made every other day. If both are lost, research stops.
Industrial Ships: These produce and transport the supplies needed by everyone in the fleet. Repair rates of ships and the effectiveness of Medics are reduced by 20% for every destroyed Industrial Ship (added together and then used as a multiplier, e.g. if a ship would repair 100 hp a day and two Industrials have been lost, it would only repair 60 hp a day).
Civilian/Government: These ships just carry people. They are fragile, but have pretty good medical facilities; each Civilian ship is considered to have one extra Medic aboard.
Colonial One: This ship carries the President. In battle it will dock to the Phallactica and be safe from attack; the President will be considered to reside aboard the Phallactica during those days.
What the Professions do:
The players represent the inner circle of the Colonial Fleet. Each player has a profession.
Medics: Each Medic prevents one other player from dying to collateral damage when a ship is damaged. If a ship is destroyed, everyone dies anyway.
Engineers: Each Engineer repairs an additional +10% of a ship's max HP a day, in addition to the base repair rate (which is 10% for most ships).
Viper Pilots: They are aboard their Vipers fighting the attackers when the fleet is under attack, so they cannot die of collateral damage. They can, however, randomly die in battle. The odds of this happening depend a lot on the tactic chosen by the Admiral and will be revealed should a fleet battle be imminent.
Colonial Soldiers: This profession has no special ability at this point in the game.
All special abilities, all movement orders and all privately handled President and Admiral abilities must be sent to Ares of Kobol. If that mailbox fills up, send your messages to Bliss 101. If you have clarification requests that need to be handled in PMs, send them to Bliss 101.
Order of Actions: Movement generally always happens after any other actions, unless an ability specifically states otherwise. So you can use an ability on one ship, then move to another ship on the same day for example.
I guess that's all for today. More details will be filled in as they become pertinent. I don't want to do one massive infodump all at once.
I won't be online much for the next few hours, and I've been too busy to find out Hylianbunny's e-mail address to send him spreadsheets etc., so clarification requests may be answered a bit slowly.
Actually it seems I need to play 10 Arena Matches before WoW server maintenance begins, so PMs etc will have to wait a bit. They will be role clarifications mostly.
I'll also update the opening posts to include the updated information etc... soon.

That is true. I remember voting Blarney for something a couple games back anyways. So spreading the love:

I'm hoarding them up until I see a properly epic opportunity.

this is why you're my favorite, pk
You could vote for me and put me in third place, both behind Blarney and Defecation, yet ahead of Kin and Obbi.
Just putting that out there.
I'd post more pictures of what will happen under certain candidates' admiralty, but I'm not at my computer at the moment.
I can never be first for anything, I usually don't get anything till about day 6 or 7 and it's just out of pity.
