The Guiding Principles and New Rules document is now in effect.
For the past four months I've been unemployed and pretty much doing nothing but getting blitzed and playing video games. I've looked for jobs, at least over fifty or so and I've only have had 3 interviews. None resulting in me being hired. I'm getting sick of my current condition in life, not having a job and being drunk pretty much 24/7.
Has anyone tried, or know anyone for that matter tried schooling? Not like a real college, but something like ITT Tech, Merit, or Coleman College?
Just find a local community college and take some 20 dollar-a-unit courses. Something. Oakland is offering $63,000 base pay for policemen, though you'd have to, uh, be a cop in Oakland
What the hell, get off the internet and go to school. Christ.
I tried to go to College a few years ago, I just felt like it was a rehash of High School hat I was paying for.
Yea, see, here's the thing about that.
Most people who say that only get about a year or so into college. In which case, yep, it's a bit of a rehash. It's after they weed out the fools that it starts to get pretty good and pretty interesting.
Most people who have jobs don't have jobs in the field they went to school for, doesn't matter because they still have jobs.
California has a shitton of opportunities, Shibby. You're going to get a lot of shit from the internets because of your image as a tremendous douchebag, but just ignore that and pick something

Man, after 5 years at university and 4 years in the workforce, day to day STILL feels like a rehash of high school.
I go to community college. its just step 1 for me but its been a pretty positive experience. and I know plenty of people who get great jobs out the door from community college.

I was also working at the time, I made the stupid choice of dropping out to work full time.

It's nice how the guy comes in here and says he wants to change things around, yet people just shit on him with bitterness.
Shibby, I've known some really smart kids who just didn't want to do the usual trudge through college. My neighbor for instance is going to a tech school in the area to become work on cars. He's not going down the usual mechanic path, but he still gets to do a lot of hands on things.

Have you considered writing a book about your douchey exploits? Something like American Psycho, only true
Seriously, that is re-Goddamn-diculous.
