And there's like 20 more free songs available right after the game comes out because they couldn't fit them in! Plus all the songs you downloaded? They'll still work. And you can transfer all but like three songs (Enter Sandman, Run To The Hills and Paranoid, all of which are actually awesome so I guess that sucks) to your hard drive so you can play them in Rock Band 2. Awesome! There will supposedly be over 500 songs available by the end of the year. And a bunch of new albums!
ONLINE BAND WORLD TOUR
Apparently you can go online and do all sorts of shit! Fucking crazy! One such crazy ass thing is the ability to group up with a bunch of fools from the internet and basically do Band World Tour on the damn internet! Holy crap! So I'm thinking we need to organize some bands and so forth and rock the fuck out with some plastic instruments on the internet. And speaking of instruments:
NEW INSTRUMENTS
So there were some issues with the older Rock Band instruments. Apparently most of these have been rectified with the new stuff. Namely, the drums. The new set comes with a medal bass pedal (!) and quieter, more responsive pads. There's a bass guitar available now with a split strum bar so you can let your fingers do the walkin' and the bass do the talkin'. There's also a new guitar that's probably just built more solid than the RB1 model, I guess. Also there's a $300 drum set that you can basically use as an electronic drum kit if you want (you may have to spend a little extra for that? I don't know!)
Anyways, Rock Band was probably my favorite game last year, and definitely the one I've sunk the most time into despite it being out of commission for like six months. And there's so much that Harmonix seems to have done right already in regards to improving on the first Rock Band that I can't help but be super excited for Rock Band 2. And there's a lot more stuff that I haven't even mentioned because I don't think anyone reads OPs too far past, like, the first page unless there's something about gamertags or other important information that is essential to organizing something in them. I bet you aren't even reading right now!
I bet you will quote that and post it just to spite me. I bet some of you will even not quote that just to spite me in a different way!
