he's in the hospital right now because one of his elbows has some weird genetic condition involving slipped cartilage, so he had to get both of them operated on today and on a scale of 1-4 involving how damaged he could have been, the doctor said he was a four
and i've been making him fetch toys like an asshole
i mean, metaphorically, that would be one way of looking at it
but in a sense i am stooping to build new dreams, and at the same time scraping to buy an expensive surgery for the dog who will once again frolic in the fields much like my renewed sense of self and rediscovery of purpose will lead to ultimately realizing the dream was inside me all along
