It's called Wallander, and features a slightly chubby Kenneth Branagh as a Swedish policeman solving horrible crimes in an exceptionally bleak landscape while his pitiful life crumbles around him. David Warner plays his ailing artist father who relentlessly paints the same landscape over and over.
It's wonderful.
Sold and sold!
Seriously, it's the best British detective show since Inspector Morse. Branagh is incredible. I saw him in a Chekov play recently and christ that man is brilliant. I want to skip ahead twenty years in time to see him play Lear and Prospero.
That does sound really rad. What else is good that's been on lately? I mean to get internet back on in my house sometime in the next month so I'm looking for a list of TV to watch. Did they ever do another series of City of Vice? I really liked what I saw of that.
But the issue at hand is, did you exceed your authority in closing the second thread, and the answer is a resounding yes.
Actually it is no, because my authority here is absolute. Should I decide to ban the word jelly and enforce the rule retroactively, I am well within my authority to do so.

Hobosapien. Just step away from the computer, get some fresh air, and come back tomorrow or something. You are digging yourself a grave with such amazing rapidity that it simply boggles the mind.

yeah we will forget
we won't forget
I would like to refer everyone to this fellow and my incredibly stupid thread about him?
Remember him?
You really need to drop this and never mention it again. Then in time, people will forget about your momentary stupidity and learn to like you.

This [chat] needs a new name. Like "Forum Carnage [chat]" or suchlike.
Yeah, mine was Leitner for some reason, but I really can't remember why because he isn't anymore.
Their is one person in chat whose posts I tend not to reply to and avoid having direct discourse with if at all possible. Does that count?
I have like two people who are my worst forum enemies and like a hundred people who THINK they're my worst forum enemies when I have not got the slightest clue who they are.

I assume you have no clue who I am other then seeing my name pop up in the infractions log from time to time.

British TV has had quite a bit of decent stuff on recently. There's a fantastic adaptation of Little Dorrit featuring a vast swathe of our finest character actors chewing scenery like there's no tomorrow, the latest series of Spooks, which has been rad, a drama set during the English Civil War starring The Wire's McNulty and John Simm called The Devil's Whore and the latest series of the IT Crowd.
Don't think there's been another City of Vice, but I could be wrong.

I will avenge my father's ban.

Sweet I feel special now.

unfortunately the semen erupted before i finished with the reply, and on the come-down i didn't care anymore
I hate your sig
Really I think it's just the glasses
if he was wearing different glasses I might like it
Private messages are fine if you're still confused, or whatever. I'd rather you didn't, though.
Man, that was good times.
