    * There will be a Capture the Flag type game.[1]
    * There will be a "Destroy the Battleship" game that is squad-based

    I don't know about you guys but I am about ready to pew pew some space homps. I'm really digging the 'Battlestar Galactica' feel of the music and space battles, especially in the Leipzig video, although I hope all those lasers are actually coming from players and not just random particle effects in the background.

    This game is already melting my face.

    I am starting to recall elements of the original Jumpgate beta.

    I remember thinking "oh my god this is awesome... but... SWG is about to be out!"


    That was a mistake.

    The capital ship fights that were described in the Ten Ton Hammer video were great. Sounds like they are taking their cue's from the right games.

    Also they said they were designing the game for 150+ player dogfights

    And from the sounds of it, capships are FS2 huge. In the wiki, one of the producers is quoted as saying that it took him 30 seconds to fly from stem to stern of one in his newb ship.

    time for the "what's a snubfighter going to do against that?" "where's the exhaust port?" lines...

    looks like it could be good. I really enjoyed XvT, FS2, Freelancer, etc... hopefully the development time won't be too much longer.

    The minimum specs for this game are insane.

    800 Mhz Pentium 3, 512MB of RAM, and a GeForce 2.

    There probably people signed up for the beta who don't even remember GeForce 2.
