Oh most stuff from the late 80s and 90s was terrible as far as acting or anything else for that matter. My only point was it had more bite. I'm more hung up on the pussification of modern children's entertainment.
The only saving grace is that the stuff that is good these days, is really, really fricking good. JLA for example.
JLA (and JLU) is still really great.
Haven't seen such a good cartoon in quite some time.
Few years ago now (actually more like 6 or 7 at this point) a friend of mine set out to assemble a compilation of as many Star Wars related songs as possible. Eventually titled Greedo Shooting First it contained:
1. Supernova - Chewbacca (1:48)
2. Broder Daniel - Luke Skywalker (3:24)
3. Bloodhound Gang - Fire Water Burn (4:51)
4. Jamiroquai - Use The Force (3:59)
5. Bentframe - Star Wars Gangsta Rap (3:05)
6. Dow Jones & The Industrials - R2-D2 (4:20)
7. Organized Rhyme - Check The OR (4:13)
8. Butter 08 - Degobrah (2:03)
9. William Ether - Red Leader (2:30)
10. MC Chris - Fett's Vette (3:20)
11. Blink-182 - A New Hope (3:44)
12. Meco - Star Wars Theme (3:34) [Hidden Track]
I've been starting on a similar project of my own but thus far only have two tracks. I am trying to find songs related to the Doings of science. Preferably ones that explain some kind of scientific principle.
So far I have Entropy by MC Hawking and The Big Bang by Barenaked Ladies.
You homps are all into the musics and the whatnots. Any suggestions?

That's why proper kids grow up on eighties action movies. Arnie was like the icon of my childhood. Predator fuck yeah!

The Sun is a Mass of Incandesant Gas - They Might Be Giants
To be honest, there seem to be some people on this forum who couldn't compete in the special olympics.
Like the Southpark episode where Cartman competes in the SO and loses so bad they give him a special prize?
To be fair I bet they're crazy good at what they do. If you're hauling yourself about with just your arms all day they're going to be massive. Or that guy with prospethic legs who was almost olympic quality.

The best children's show.
God! Riemann, I need to have a talk with your friend about Star Wars and the music involving it.

I suddenly have the urge to spend profligately. These people must be the reason for the financial meltdown.

Also all the Star Wars talk reminded me of this
Pinky and the Brain
Chris Hanson says hello you pedophile!
pleasepaypreacher.net
No, cause they're not liked anywhere.
Are you thinking what I'm thinking?
Yeah, but Pippy Long Stockings is far too tall and she got breast reduction surgery, I just can't truck with that.

Wasn't Pinky and the Brain a component of Animaniacs?
At first it was, eventually they made it it's own show though.
It eventually got its own spin-off.
But have you done your daily cock push up?
man, I wish there was a way to pull the whole history for someone, it'd make those things more interesting.
took out her barrettes and her hair spilled out like rootbeer
