Isn't working for Nintendo in the U.S. limited to sales, marketing and unskilled labor like janitorial and package-handling stuff?
No. This is actually a writing job. Like writing the little blurbs on the back of the boxes and manuals for games ported over from Japan, and doing interviews and such as well.
That's marketing.
Well, it -includes- marketing, sure. But most of the writing work is inside-the-package stuff.
The job is about "Localization," which more or less means "This is Made In Japan, make it make sense for Gaijin."

They do a lot of localization over there too (it's right across the street from the Red West Microsoft campus. Not actually the same thing as Microsoft Main Campus - MS owns or rents most of the east side)
If Nintendo's Renton, WA branch has issues with long hair, the world just does not work right.
Well no it doesn't. If you're honestly serious about the work I'd do it.
Huh, the more you know. I always thought a ton was 1000 lbs, but nope it's kgs.
Curse those conversions.
There are some very strong people out there. I will be so happy when my squat reaches 300 lbs. I know that's not particularly impressive but I initially struggled with the bar a bit. Granted my form was shit at the time and the trainer didn't exactly know what he was doing with regards to that lift. I'm up to 215 right now for sets.
One day I will also bench press my weight. That could be some time away.

Bench pressing one's own weight is god damn crazy to me, because it seems like such a sisyphean task. My best is 100, and if I wanted to get up to 170 I'm pretty sure that I'd have to put on another 20lbs of muscle.

I could bench more than my own weight when I was in middle school, and I was a fatass.

To be honest most trainers I've seen don't realy know what they're doing all that much better than your average guy. I think I found one who was really useful, and he used to be a pro weightlifter.
That's what your own bodyweight give or take? That's not all that bad.

My build makes the bench tough. It's a lift that definitely favors the short limbed stocky type. That said, it wouldn't be hard for you drastically up your bench using a simple novice lifting program.

It's also that I'm waaaay more into pull ups and clap push-ups etc.

You're just scrawny as fuck is all.
how much did you weigh in middle school?
I was 190 in 6th grade, and my heaviest recorded weight was 245 (but only for a short period), and I the highest amount I could press was 250 (like, twice, but still) in Freshman year of high school. I don't have like the exact times when the two converged, but seeing as I've never breached 250...

You're just jealous because you don't have thick, shiny and beautiful hair like mine.

I have thick hair but it's more like the fur of a bear. Not at all 'shiny' or 'beautiful' and instead ... wild and stuff. Damnit.
The day I have to play by the same rules as everyone else has yet to come.
Hair cuts are for the weak.
what do you think about $3 margaritas?
One of these days I have to go to work, but let's seeeeee
