Round 2: Campion vs AMP'd
Larlarconsecutive normal brunchesModerator, ClubPAMod Emeritus
Oh also as a musical theater fag I voted the one that had Man of La Mancha.
Even though I have bad memories about Impossible dream.
You see one I was hired as a pianist for an alumni reunion for a musical theater group. The pay was free booze all night so I wasn't exactly totally gung-ho about the project, since I mean I certainly drank enough to make it somewhat worth it, but still, no actual money. Anyways, I have no music from the group, just "Play something", so I brought what I thought was a pretty extensive set list. The problem? My earliest musicals were from the 70s. The younger crowd was all over the recent stuff, and the pretentious crowd was all over the less well-known but incredible shit I brought, but then came the old people who lost track of theater when they were out of college. The one score they brought with them from a library that apparently is pretty extensive was man of la mancha, and apparently the old crowd didn't even know something as fundamental as Company or Into the Woods or the other... ok, one problem with my set list was it was populated with a fuckton of Sondheim. Anyways, that led to the first half of the evening, when the old folks were all singing, of pretty much doing Man of la mancha stuff over and over and over again, with people with really no sense of rhythm who had forgotten the words anyways.

edit: actually is there a video or should I listen to the song
Same.
With that said, I still voted for Campion.

Can't wait to see the final!
Looking forward to the finished version, Camp!
It certainly wasn't AMP'd
edit: Camp's worked for me in WMP.

Did I deliver tree-decapitation action or what?
Also I loved the part where people get to pet a fox
Therefore he gets my vote.

Still, musical theater wins.

But excitable unexpected cameo aside, Campion that was just expertly crafted. :^:
