That's true. I don't. So NOTHING kills him. I might come and play again when the expansion comes out. Right now I just have no drive to resubscribe.

/WP is honestly better than /Stone on the RSF because it can take a hit from a psionic AV (Like Numina, Aurora Borealis, Swan and Sister Psyche) and not fall all over itself in a big heap of dead.

That, and, AFAIK, you don't have to root yourself to soak damage with WP.

Only one hyphenated word for proof that WP > lol/Stone on a brute:

    Trac-tor

All the primaries are generally viable and fun enough, but SS shines above them all in terms of power. Perma-Rage (via invention sets) is really hard to beat, and all that knockdown in the set does wonders for defense.

SS is a blast but it's a little wacky until you get to 32 and/or whenever you start your set slotting. It's like, "oh, I was just getting used to a broken attack chain and rage being down half the time," and then you get FS and some global recharge.

The only thing that makes me hesitant about SS is I already have a 50 SS/Invuln Brute that I have tricked out with IOs and stuff and I don't necessarily feel like going through that tango again.

    War Mace/WP sounds pretty appealing.

Jesus FUCK the market is terrible. 100 million inf for a SINGLE PIECE of the kinetic combat set. Good goddamn. For a game that does so many things awesomely right, that the market is this fuckered makes me sad.

The LotG proc is going for 250 million redside. And it's been noted that every. Single. Pvp IO is going for 1-2 billion inf. 2 billion is actually the cap. If you go to the forums and dig around for a minute or two, it looks like people have started trading them off the market so that more than 2 billion inf can be paid.

Seems like farming PvP IOs is a plan then. I don't know if that's even possible. Fuck PvP.

It's boring as hell but you can do it by dual boxing if both accounts have several characters that can get into pvp. That 10 minute timer is a bitch. Also, it's boring as hell.

Some people have said you can do it easier in the arena but :shrugs: no clue. I got a PvP IO once, I think it was worth 50k.

Possible to an extent. They can drop either in zone or in the arena, but the players have to be within 3 levels of each other (I'm not sure how this works with zone level adjustments) AND you have to have been able to earn PvP reputation from the kill (meaning that you can't kill the same target within 5 minutes). AND THEN, unless they changed this also, if you get a PvP IO (which drops at a rate around 1 IO per 2-3000 kills) then you can't get another one at all for 10 minutes regardless.

Dump all this on top of an already borked-to-hell market and well then.

EDIT: Ok so more digging it looks like the rate is either 1:2000 or 1:70. Depending. And the devs won't say for sure either way. So enjoy that also.

EDIT EDIT: Ahaha this is such a mess. So it is actual levels, so no running into RV on a 50 and slaughtering 40s who show up to play, which skews things, and just like normal IOs if you're on a team then the drop would of course go only to one of you. So with an 8 man team, you have a 1-in-8 chance of getting the PvP IO if it does happen to drop.

So, between the PvP rep timer, the level requirements, and the "teaming" thing, it really doesn't matter what the technical rate for the drops is, you have roughly a 1:2000 chance of actually getting a PvP IO from "normal" pvp gameplay. If we did all lose a really terrible bet and did start trying to farm them, then we would obviously control the variables quite a bit better so that rate would rise substantially.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: Goddammit it is not "actual levels," that only applies to the arena, it is "current combat level" this is so stupid. This is the stupidest.

No. Partly because of logout timer and mostly because we'd kill you once then you'd never respawn because you aren't there to click "Go to hospital."

I actually haven't done the villain arcs for any of my characters yet. I did part of scoot's (I think) on my fortunata, but it didn't seem like it was as good as the hero arcs, so I didn't feel that motivated to ouro the for real.

I was really impressed by the hero arc, though. If that's the kind of thing going rogue has in store, I won't regret my pre-purchase.

The new arcs are something that are best done as the lead in so you can read everything and get the conversation options. From what I've heard of the hero arc it's got nothing on the red one. I screamed in rage and wanted to cry at the end of the red arc. I hope that skag is dead because there's no way any of my villains wouldn't have made damn sure of it.

I stopped feeling bad about duping these marks like....months ago. I legit feel like I'm pouring olive oil into a red bottle and calling it like..."Rikti Blood" or some shit. If someone buys it for...100 million? oh well.

I don't really like the way the market is set up, but if people are inclined to pay a hundred thousand inf for some damn white salvage because they're either that impatient or that unwilling to plan ahead, I too am happy to take their money.
